Very cool! We saw several dreams awarded when we were there in December. They were all small, simple things, and most of the ones we saw wouldn't have cost Disney a dime, but you could tell they absolutely made the day fo the little boy or girl!

Yeah!
Same here...except for that special meeting with Belle (that they didn't hail as a part of the dreams), we didn't "win" anything. I kept seeing the FastPasses for single parks, and sooooo wanted that!!!
A teacher from my school went in June and her family won a FastPass for ALL of the parks. Sometimes they didn't even tear it off, so they were able to do that FastPass again.
Drat! Maybe it's just me, but I *hate* this promotion. It happened twice that hats were handed out in front of my family, but there were not 6 left for us by the time the hats made it our way. The only thing that happened is that my kids were bummed out. It seems the dreams are always for the smaller families. :(
Maybe we'll get lucky this September. I'll just settle for my kids just not seeing others get "dreams" all around us, while we get nothing.

We didn't SEE anyone get anything. I saw a few people with the FastPasses around their necks.
But we are a small family and didn't get anything either. I guess we weren't as disappointed not having seen it happen, but it was disappointing nonetheless.

I just read this on my work board yesterday and I think it's GREAT!!
I am having a blast with the Year of a Million Dreams. Not only does the Dream Squad get to do stuff, but cast members as well. We can't hand out those cool fast passes, or the stay in the castle, but we get to do our own little Magical Moments. I love it. It's gives me a great opportunity to interact more with the guests.
I'm
a Gryffindor!
For those who have been disappointed, I think the key is to not build it up for the kids. If they think they have a chance at winning something, they will hope and wish to win. If they don't even know about it, then if it happens to them, it will be that much more exciting, and if it doesn't, there won't be as much disppointment. (Of course, that wouldn't help for the family who didn't get the hats, I guess.) We just looked at other kids getting stuff as "wow, isn't that cool?" instead of "how come I didn't get that?"
I think it's all in how you look at it. JMO!
