Well we had planned on going to the Magic Kingdom this Sunday. The kids aready know and are excited. I just happened to read the thread about blackout dates, since I am a seasonal passholder.

Well, I see that the blackout dates for August end the 16th. I am thinking, that is not right. So I go get our passholder tickets and the ticket carrier that they give you when you purchase your tickets plainly states that the summer backout dates are June 9 to August 10th.

So, I call passholder info and he states the dates are until August 16th. He was not very friendly and was like "oh well".

Now I have to tell the kids we are not going this weekend. How disappointing is that going to be!

I would call back and talk to someone else. Let them know that the info you received when you purchased the tickets said through August 10th and that you had made arrangements to be there this weekend. OR...since the only way you found out about it was on this board, and not every season pass holder will be visiting this board, you could just show up (I mean if you live close to WDW?) and then show them in person the thing that says Aug 10th. They're bound to let you in when it's right there in b&w, right? I don't know for sure, but if it's not a long drive for you, it might be worth it!

Good luck!

I do have the 2007 Passholder Sleeve with the benefits attached. It is a 90 minute drive each way for us, so it would be a long morning if we got there and they would not let us in. Or DH would just cave in and buy tickets, but that would be really financially unwise considering a daily pass is 1/3 the price of a seasonal FL resident ticket.

I am waiting for DH to get home before we tell the kids. My youngest DD starts pre-k this week and oldest DD starts kindergarten the following week, so we just wanted one last quick trip before school was in full swing. They are just going to have to wait for our Labor Day weekend trip.
