Clothing for next week...

Well, I can't believe it but we go next week. Woohoo! I'm starting to make piles of clothes and I'm a bit worried about something. I've looked at the average highs and lows and in my mind I know we won't need pants or long sleeves. But I'm getting nervous. I'm planning on bringing a thin sweater just in case, but should I pack cold weather clothes at all for the kids? Long sleeve T? Windbreaker? Sweatshirt? Will it ever be chilly in the evening watching fireworks, etc? I do have ponchos so a jacket for the rain is not needed.
Thanks for your help. I'm getting paranoid now about the little things!

Unless it's some freak weather thing, absolutely not. It's so humid in the evenings that it's still hot & muggy!
A thin sweater is smart because some of the indoor attractions are air-conditioned, but honestly, that means lugging it around, too.

Laura,
I live in NE Florida, about 2.5 hrs NE of Orlando. This week the temperatures have been in the triple digits during the day with UV indeces in the double digits. I would worry more about heat exhaustion and sunburn. Two nights ago it was still 90 at 7pm!!!

We just got back from a 10 day trip. I only saw my one light sweatshirt twice in the whole trip: when I stuffed it into my carryon upon arrival, and again when I pulled it out because of the AC on the plane ride back. I also had wondered about the AC blasting too strongly at indoor attractions, since I get cold easily, but it was never a problem. Only once I think at a DTD restaurant (Wolfgang Pucks) I got a little chilly, but nothing that I couldn't recover from within 2 minutes of walking back outside!
As for the ponchos, I guess that depends on how much you mind getting wet. We had a couple of rainstorms. The worst one didn't really matter since we were on our way back from Blizzard Beach, so wet anyway :) My DS loved the experience so much he had to stand out in the downpour instead of under the bus shelter while waiting for the bus :) If we had been in a theme park though, we probably would have just waited it out at any indoor attraction or store - they tend to pass pretty quickly and then you get the bonus of fewer crowds. In my experience, the ponchos went untouched too and were a waste of time and space in our suitcases. The only place I'd want the ponchos was if it was pouring at Epcot, because there are long stretches of outdoor walking between one pavilion and the next both in Future World and in the countries, so you wouldn't want to get "stuck" in any one place if it's pouring really hard for more than a little while. But like the OP said, I'd be worrying more about coping with the heat! It was in the triple digits out there for a while and that humidity is incredibly stifling!
