We went in May and my dd (7) had a terrific time. She felt so pampered and special. She wants me to do her hair like that at home as well as the make-up (don't know if I'll be able to or not).

The first three pictures in the Disney folder are of the BBB if you are interested.

Have a great time.

Okay, here's the thing of it. Girls want to be princesses. The end. (BTW, that goes for former girls too.)

Let me explain. You can see by my screenname that I have 3 dd's. They are now ages 21, 20 and 15. We are planning our DW trip for 12/22/2007. Dh & I went on our honeymoon, and middle dd went at the end of her senior year in high school with a few friends, but the oldest & youngest have never been there.

DD21 calls me about a month ago to tell me she's been surfing the Disney World site and wants to know what those things are that look like "princess rooms". It took me a few minutes of questioning her to figure out she meant the BBB photos. Then I had to explain to her what I've learned about the BBBs. This dd was a princess-loving child, even loving all things pink until she was about 13 and went goth. For her senior prom, she HAD to have Cinderella's blue dress from the Roger's & Hammerstein version. (We actually found a seamstress who made it for about $200; not great quality, but dd didn't care LOL, it looked great on and in the photos too.)

As I was explaining about the BBB, she became wistful and said, but they're for little kids, several times over. I said I bet they're not just, and I offered to call and ask if adults ever went, and then I asked dd that if the reservationist said yes other adults go, would dd be interested in it? She kept hesitating without actually saying NO, first she said maybe, then I said, you know you want to, then she pointed out that the sash is probably pink, then I said, she wouldn't actually HAVE to wear the sash, it's DW, not a police state, for crying out loud, and what a nice souvenir the sash would be and maybe the sash is available in blue, Cindy has a blue dress, you know, you know you'd want it anyway if it were pink, and even more if it were a non-pink color, etc. Until she agreed that if the reservationist said other adults go, she'd go too.

I called the reservations line and the woman I spoke with assured me that adults go all the time, not as many adults as kids go, but adults do go, her own aunt had just recently gone too. So I said, okay, then, lets book it for my dd. Then the reservationist threw me for a loop by next stating, so this is for you and your daughter? I started crying, I never, ever even thought of THAT, what a great idea, it's probably like the last thing I can share with dd until she gets married (plus she's been living on her own since she was 18, 200 miles away, we see each other only a few times a year). Then I said, well if I book it for her and me, I'd better see if my other two are interested, so now the four of us have appointments on 12/23! Then dinner reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table right afterwards. What a trip it's going to be!

I can't wait LOL.

In peace,

You KNOW there will be pictures. As to getting them online ... I'm kind of illiterate in that area :(.

It is pricey but worth it. My 5 y/o dd has done it twice now and my 12y/o dd did it on our last trip and loved the pampering..You could just see her confidence blooming when she had it done. Then only thing was I didnt want them to go swimming after spending all that money on their hair!! We brought our own costume for the 5 y/o and just brought a nice outfit for my 12 y/o dd to wear. They take pictures while the girls hair is being done then you can have a photo shoot and they take a bunch of pitures! We added them to our photo pass pics and just bought the CD at the end of our trip. I'll post some pics, too :-)

DH made appointments for our girls (5 and 8) before our trip this summer. Being the "practical" one in the family, I was really reluctant to spend the money on it. DH won out, and I am SO glad he did. It was by far one of the best moments of our trip!!! We didn't tell the girls about it ahead of time. We had them dress in their princess outfits that we brought with us and took them to DTD. You should have seen their faces when they found out what their special surprise was! I must have taken about a zillion pictures! All the Fairy Godmothers were wonderful, fussing over the girls, treating them just like little princesses. It was amazing!

Being the bargain gal that I am, I think the difference between the "deluxe" package (makeover and outfit) and the hair, nails, makeup package is outrageous. If your girls have their own outfits, take them on your trip and have them wear their princess costumes to the appointment. It makes doing the BBB a little easier on the pocketbook!
