Hi all -

Well, my mom just reserved a car from Alamo, see they are going down with us on Saturday, staying at Disney until Tuesday and then heading to St. Augustine for a few days and then coming back to Disney to fly home with us.

Hi Andrea! Boy, I had to dig through AllEars to find this but I did! :)

"What if I decide to rent a car after arriving at my WDW resort?

Alamo and National Car Rental has an office located at the Car Care Center outside the Magic Kingdom and at the Dolphin Resort. Shuttle service to the Car Care Center is available from all resorts and must be reserved at least one hour in advance. Alamo/National is open seven days/week from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. The Dolphin is open from 8:15am - 4:00pm. The phone number is 407-824-3470 or 800-227-7368."

Ok, then I found this inside my WDW Disney Guide to the Magic booklet that we got at check-in this past April:

I just rented a car from Alamo for our trip and the print out says:

Here's what you do to pick up your car:

* Alamo is conveniently located on Disney property next to the Exxon Station.
* Shuttle service is available from Disney Resort Properties, Lake Buena Vista, Hotel Plaza Blvd and Palm Parkway area hotels.
* Pick-up is also available from Caribe Royale Hotel, Buena Vista Suites and Holiday Inn Family Suites.
* To arrange for shuttle service you must call (407) 824-3470 for pick-up between 1 hour and 1 day prior to the time you want to be picked up.
* Pick up is available Mon-Fri 7am-6pm; Sat-Sun 8am-6pm and Holidays 8am-6pm.
* Quicksilver service is not available at this location.

IT doesn't mention any of the resorts, so it looks as if you will have to allow time to get back to the hotel - but you could arrange a pick-up time before you leave so they won't have to wait around too long.

There is a phone number there to call to arrange for a shuttle - so hopefully if you call that someone will be able to help you.

They are Hess stations now, not Exxon. Not sure when they changed. Know it was since 1995, though because I remember it being Exxon and selling gas for the UNHEARD of price of $1.45...lol (aren't I helpful).
