4 year old wants to dress up everyday

We have our trip planned for the middle of September and I have a question regarding my DD... She is four and obsessed with the princesses. I told her that one day, on our trip, she gets to get dressed up like Cinderella at the bbb and then have lunch at Cinderella's round table. She was very excited about that and later asked if she can dress up like a princess everyday that we are there. She has several princess dresses in her dress up chest so it wouldn't be a big deal, but I can't decide if it will be too much? I know it will be on the hot side, so I could just let her wear the costumes in the morning and then change when we go back to the resort to rest in the afternoon. I guess my question is, do a lot of girls dress up to all the parks, or just to magic kingdom?

Thanks!

First of all...AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! How cute that she wants to dress up! I wish my daughter was that little when we took her for her first WDW trip. When she finally got to go, she was a little past the princess/dress up stage. Now she's WAY past it, wouldn't be caught dead in a dress. *sniff, sniff* Savor those little girl moments!!!

Ok, now onto your question. I've seen girls dressed up at all the parks, and at downtown disney, so I don't think she would look out of place or anything. However, it does seem like it would get awfully hot and uncomfortable, and not sure how the costumes would fare on things like splash mountain or kali river rapids? Other than that, I think it's totally a matter of personal preference and convenience. If you're ok with carrying a change of clothes for her, you could let her wear her costume until she's feeling like she needs to be in regular clothes. Or, if you think that you will get tired of toting around a bag with a change of clothes in it, you could start preparing her now that the costumes will only be for certain days and events, and that she'll be more comfortable in her regular clothes. But either way, she won't look out of place all dressed up, imo. The little girls who are dressed up are the cutest thing ever - even my tom-boy daughter comments on how adorable they are!

Enjoy your trip!

I let my princesses wear theirs over a tank and shorts. WHen they got sick of wearing them, I managed to roll it into a gallon sized zip lock bag and throw it in the back pack or bottom of the stroller.

I painted their faces 2/7 days we were there, too. (I am a face apinter, so it was no big deal) but DH made sure they understood that it would NOT be an every day occurance since we wanted to be sure to get some pix of them being theirselves.

Your DD will NOT be out of place in a princess dress at all, at any park or Disney Resort! OK, maybe the water parks LOL!

Enjoy!
