I know the buses take you to the parks, but if I'm at staying at Pop, and I have a ressie at another resort, is it easy for me to get there, are there direct buses to other hotels?

Unfortunately, there isn't any 'easy' way.

This was the one challenge we had last week. The bus system is hub and spoke meaning the 4 parks and DTD are hubs with main bus stops. Off each hub there are spokes that go to the resorts. So in other words you need to go to a park to transfer.

Our first night we had to get from ASMu to the Polynesian. My plan was to bus to MK and take the monorail, but there were no MK buses and I got nervous. Instead we got on an MGM bus and then at MGM got on a Poly bus. Took longer than needed, we should have waited for MK bus.

The night we ate at Boma at AKL we had to take a bus back to AK and then transfer to a Music bus. It is a bit cumbersome, but most efficient in terms of moving people. If you are going resort to resort make sure you plan plenty of time.

One of our trips, I think in 2000, we stayed at Dixie Landings, now it's called Port Orleans/Riverside, but yes, we took the bus to downtown disney, then took a bus to Ft Wilderness because we had a reservation for the Hoopde do Review.

So if I am staying at the Wilderness Lodge and have a reservation for Hoop Dee Doo at Ft. Wilderness, I have to go to MK and then Back?

Actually I think there is a boat for that particular trip - but I am not sure.

This is exactly the reason we'll be renting a car for our trip.

I LOVE this place: http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/asp/twiz.aspx

for figuring out how to get XX from YY.

ALways add in "travel time" - as in from where you are NOW to where you need to be to catch the _______. THen figure that even if a mode comes every 20 minutes or so, always assumer you JUST missed one., then add in teh "actual" travel time form place to place and then add in the time it will take to get from your drop off point to your actual destination. THis is why DIsney always tells people to allow at least an hour to get from XX to YY, even if "actual" travel time is just 12 minutes or so. Many people do not realiz just how big the place is! Even if you drive, you still ahv eto allow time to get to your car, park it, tehn get to where you are going,a nd if you are eating in the Magic Kingdom, you have to allow time to catch the tram to the transportation center, THEN catch the ferry or monorail!

Don't worry. YOu can almost always get to where you need to be on time without rushing with just a bit of planning.
