How is Thanksgiving week with regard to crowds, etc?? Dh and I have been discussing when to go if we re-book rather than cancel. In 08 it will harder to pull the kids out of school based on scheduling. if we went that week the kids would only loose 2 days rather than 5 and that week works out OK for the high schoolers schedules.

any ideas appreciated thankyou so much

Well, the Social Worker at the Nursing Home I used to work at always goes around Thanksgiving week. She goes at least 2 times a year to Disney. They belong to the Vacation Club.

We're going that week, but will be home by Thanksgiving Day. We went last year ( the days leading up to Thanks) and MK wasn't bad till about lunchtime. And I wouldn't say overly crowded, but definitely full. The waits were averaging about 30 minutes come afternoon time. We went to Sea World too and it was pretty light crowds.

But you cannot beat the weather during this time! Its usually gorgeous (I live in FL) and I think that is worth it just by itself. (Maybe a light sweater in the mornings/evenings.) I say go for it!

GL with your decision!

oh Erin, we went last year for Thanksgiving week and it was cold! I think there was snow in Florida that week.

But we still had a great time! I thought it was pretty crowded compared to the other times that I have gone. I felt like a sardine at MGM. Epcot wasn't too bad on Thanksgiving day (maybe because it was so spread out?) but we didn't get to do everything that we wanted to do that day. They ran out of fast pass for soarin very early.

Have fun!

Well I guess everyones experience is different. We are from New England and love the cold so if it is cold we'd be OK, the kids would be ticked if it was too cold for the pools and water parks tho. dh hates crowds period but if he has to deal with it he will.

We would probably go sat - sat and have plenty of time (well theres never enough time)to do a lot of what we'd like to do.

What do you do on Thanksgiving Day? just a regular day or are there different dinner celebrations or such that day???

TIA
