Anyone pre-order the PhotoPass?
| Fri, 09-07-2007 - 11:51pm |
I saw where if I pre-order it, it's a little less than $100, but if I wait until I'm at the parks, it's more like $125. Anyone have any experience pre-ordering? It's for real?
Thanks in advance, again, Disney rockers.

Hi, Max. I have pre-ordered the CD but my trip isn't until December. I have ordered pictures previously from the Disney Photopass website so I am very confident that it is "for real." Hopefully someone can share some been there done that experience to relieve your worries.
Melissa
we did!!
I knew we were going to get it anyway - last year we got it right at the parks, but now i know better! LOL!
We pre ordered it a week before we left and got a confirmation e-mail on it with the instructions on how ot order it.
We utilized the photo pass people as much as our kids would allow.
We came home, uploaded all our cards (regular photo pass, P&PP and water parks, along with "special packages" too - Chef Mickeys and Princess Story book)
We were thnan able ot add in special borders, signatures and crop/ delete photos - and keep the original ones as well! We nearly doubled the amound of pix on our CD. I finally remembered to actually order the CD - all you have to do is "order cd" on the photo pass screen and add it to your cart. WHen you "Check out" you put in the special code they send you. YOu can expitide shipping for an extra charge, but I chose not to, then "Continue" to check out. My balance was zeroed and I completed me order yesterday - My already have a confirmation e-mail that my CD has been shipped!
Don't forget to use the photo pass poeple every time you see them and get lots of pix of you and your Spouse ALONE as well. Take pix of kids individually and different combinations of them. Don't be afraid to get different angles- we have shots in fornt of the castle, then made the guy turn around so we have shots with the train station behind us as well. If you are in the wave pool and see a photographer, grab them and take a few there - we have a hilarious series of photos with a big wave coming right at, and eventually hitting us! - also don't be afraid to snag a photographer. I have a cute series of my 2 YO on the small tube ride at TL by himself. Take pix when you are leaving the parks, too. It is amazing to see the lighting changes and the difference in attitudes LOL! DO NOT orde hte CD in the parks - when you get home you will have time to really go through them and add the fun stuff to them - plus you don't want to waste any park time!!
Enjoy your trip!

Thanks, Melissa, now I have to convince, er, I mean, ask dh which card he wants me to put it on LOL.
Our trip's not until Dec. as well. Today's my day to plan the details of each day :D. I warned dh that I'll probably be on the computer a LOT ::snicker:: (but it's so much FUN even just planning, kwim?).

Wow, Elena, thank you so much for the details, and the quick reply! Now I just gotta find out which card dh wants me to use. Do you remember when your credit card actually gets charged? Is it when you pre-order it? Or when you put in the final confirming order? I know dh will want to know. Tsk, such details lol.
My kids are 15, 20 & 21 (well, she'll be 22 by the time of our trip) and if I just tell them that any photos on the photopass will be paid for by us parents, I am sure they will go for that ;) lol. I just have to stress to them to keep their photopass tickets (or cards, or whatever the CM gives them) together to hand over to us every night. We bought each of them a waterproof pouch (for their cell phones, i.d. cards, room keys, etc.) for the trip, so I imagine that the photopass thingies will fit in there too. (I'm also taking assorted sizes of zip-top baggies; I am pre-prepared and driving dh crazy with it LOL. But it's SO MUCH FUN JUST GETTING READY!)
