First off, I wish Ruth would come to my house and get it ready for me whenever I go somewhere! :)

I completely agree with the big difference it makes to come home to a clean house! I managed it this time and it was so nice. Also, this may sound weird but I was REALLY glad we did some laundry during our trip, even though we probably had enough clothes to go without doing laundry the whole trip. Somehow I didn't mind that much the time spent at the pool-side laundry room (in my swimsuit and with DS and DH at the pool right there and the dance party going on LOL) and the few extra dollars for the machines. This kept me from being overwhelmed when we got back home since I only had about 3-4 days of clothes for the three of us left to wash, instead of 10 days' worth! And packing a little bit of laundry powder and a few dryer sheets (and bringing more quarters) was no problem. I'd do it again in a heartbeat (and probably bring fewer clothes)! HAVING to do the laundry is also a good excuse to stay put at the resort for at least a couple hours of "awake" time - kwim?- which is also good! So that's something I'd start planning for at this point.

Oh and I know I mentioned this before, but I swear by the clear plastic pocket "shoe" organizers. Helped me at home by keeping easily visible all the little things I wanted to bring - and there were a lot of them! I hung it inside the door of the spare room that I, like others here, used as the "packing center). Then when after everything else went in the suitcases, I took it off the door and rolled it/folded it up into a big bundle. Then at the hotel I hung it on the closet rod by the sink - worked great! Kept not just toiletries there, but also every night we could refill our fanny packs from it for the next day (individual lemonade packets for our water bottles, wipes, quarters and pennies for pressed pennies --btw I preferred to keep those in an old film canister in the fanny pack instead of the mini m&m tube, left that one in the room because it was heavy-) etc, etc!

Hope that helps!

We leave in 2 weeks. Do you fly out of Newark? We are on Oct 7th. We are going to use AviStar for our parking while we are away. Have you heard of them? You park your car there in their lot, and then they shuttle you to the Airport. You let them know when you're back, and they pick you up.

If you are trying to get food and water delivered to your hotel I would try gardengrocer.com. We used them for our recent trip to the French Quarter they were awesome! They charged $12.00 to ship the order and it had to be over $40.00 which was easy since we had 3 cases of water and breakfast items like bagels, cream cheese, granola bars etc.
Our order was waiting for us when we checked in and someone from the bell services delivered it to our room once we got to it.

Good luck!
