Check out this article -- apparently everything we've ever been told about drinking lots and lots and lots of water might be wrong.
Okay, probably only if you're a marathoner. *phew* ! :)

First the vitamin supplements, now this! This seems to be more of a problem for long distance athletes, not those who do just an hour or two at the gym. That's funny that I was just saying I deprived myself of water hiking and skiing and maybe I'm doing the right thing?

as it says, it doesn't apply to people who drink 32 oz of water while working out. if anyone is concerned, though, drink gatorade or another sports drink instead of water. it will keep your electrolytes balanced. this isn't new info - it's largely the reason sports drinks were invented.
