How was your Halloween? Did you enjoy lots of candy?

I am so glad I posted here that I wouldn't have candy. It gave me extra resolve yesterday not to have any. My biggest problem is that one piece turns into two which turns into three, etc.

No candy over the weekend but when I came into work today, I found buckets all over the department. I'll try not to cave this afternoon but no promises. Fortunately, Baby doesn't care too much about candy. She was hooked on Jolly Ranchers for a while but she kicked that habit.

Breakfast - Fiber One Cereal

A.M. Snack - Pumpkin and Thyme Soup

Lunch - Leftover pizza

P.M. Snack - Leftover pepper steak that I made on Saturday

Dinner - Chicken, New Potatoes, peas, salad

Prenatal yoga tonight

P.S. DH joined my gym! We'll see how this works out... We met at this gym in 1993, but he stopped going in '97. Working out together again should be fun.

today i'm working out at lunch, probably hill walking on the treadmill, and teaching cardio kickboxing tonight. probably the trainee is going to teach most of it, though - that's great with me!

food- coffee for breakfast

tofu and veggie stirfry on brown rice for lunch, smoothie

apple for a snack

leftover black eyed pea and kielbasa stew with cornbread for dinner.

Halloween was tons of fun. The children really had fun trick or treating and the people giving out candy were really nice. Noone came to my house as usual which disappoints me, especially because I buy candy every year in the hopes that they may come. We live on a busy street with no sidewalks, so I guess it just isn't safe for the trick or treaters.

Did my jazzercise this morning. My chest feels funny so I'll be calling the doctor now to try and make an appt. Ever since I had pneumonia I am very sensitive to respiratory infections and I feel the beginning of one coming on now. I need to nip it in the bud before it turns into a full blown infection and then I can't workout. If I can't workout then I can't get certified, atleast not this year. That would be awful.

breakfast: coffee, whole grain lite english muffin with a tiny smear of low fat cream cheese

lunch: eggs with ff cheddar (bought it today, wanna try it out)

dinner: salmon, eggplant and pepper "dip" (my version of babaganoush) and salad.

snax: not sure but that trick or treat candy is looking pretty good!

Breakfast: 2 slices whole grain high fibre toast with a scraping of butter and Marmite

1 large glass low-sodium V8 (nasty, going back to regular)

1 babybel cheese

Snack: No sugar added, fat free cookies & cream yogurt

1 banana

white cheddar soy rice cakes (10 or so)

11 Triscuit Thin Crisp crackers

Lunch: BBQ chicken breast, oven roasted onion, red pepper, broccoli, asparagus

Dinner: steamed egg, brown rice, some kind of veggie...

Exercise: teaching 1 hour step class tonight...I hope my ankle holds up...Also feel kind of nervous and "out of the groove" after taking the 3 days off. I know it's best to get right back on the horse but in this case I don't know if that'st the best idea. I will of course stick to low impact moves for myself and probably use no risors...any thoughts?

Hi! Halloween was great! Good for you for sticking to your pledge and not eating the candy, Jean.

Lots of kids came around and I think it had to do with the glorious weather. Almost all the candy it gone except for some Twizzlers. No chocolate around to tempt me. Didn't eat any candy yesterday because I knew we were going out for dinner to this diner that serves huge complete meals. I ate the soup, salad (no bread) and a bite or two of my entree and the veggies. I brought the leftovers home and the dessert.

Unfortunately, I ate the strawberry shortcake for lunch. I scraped off all the cream and just ate the inside...it tasted so good with my hot tea. I was cold after coming home from the courthouse. I didn't eat breakfast and we didn't get a break until after 1 when we were dismissed and I didn't want to choke something down in the car. I will post about the courthouse experience separately.

No exercise today but I did get in a walk with DH yesterday. I plan to get up early tomorrow and take 2 classes. If I oversleep again, I will go to a different gym and just use the ellipitcal and take part of a class.

Food is iffy as you can see and I plan to eat my leftover chicken and steamed broccoli with salad for dinner.

Have a good day all.

I'm in Canada. My very British ex-bf got me into Marmite, I also love it to flavour french onion soup!

You are very right about the role model thing. Thankfully, my Monday class is usually pretty sparsely attended. I am worried more about myself than my students - one part of me is DYING to do some seriously sweaty cardio, the other wants to take a break until I'm feeling 100%, which is not really an option, because I can already feel my pants getting tight. :( If it feels worse tomorrow morning I will get a sub for Tuesdays' class.

Trained 4 clients this morning and did my own workout. I'm off this evening but going to a dental appointment.

Breakfast: banana peanut butter toast (yes, I'm still eating this)

Snack: protein shake

Lunch: lentil burger, broccoli, chocolate tofu "ice cream"

Snack/Dinner: ?? Still deciding.

I did not have much Halloween candy at all. I was very proud of myself. Although, I probably shouldn't sing my praises too much since we had a few unhealthy things this weekend.

I wanted to let you know that we bought Silent Hill 2 over the weekend. Spent a good 6 hours doing that yesterday. :P I'm enjoying it. We also bought Freeze Frame (I think that's what it's called) but haven't tried that one yet. Thanks for the suggestion!
