I wonder if the blue colour makes them more healthy, like sweet potatoes? Or am I deluding myself? :)

exercise: 45 minutes step & abs class (completed 7:15am)

Was at the other gym today, the one with carpet in the aerobics room, used the green/blue/teal step without risors, and was sliding all over the place! I was even more scared to injure myself, so I used risors and did VERY low impact, definitely safer than no risors and sliding. The instructor called me a chicken for not doing the fast lunges but thankfully she was kidding. (that's her brand of sick humour) Also it was Take Your Kid To Work Day so she had her 14 year old son there doing step and was picking on him like crazy, it let the rest of us off easy!

No Jean, it's not terrible. (But sadly, I WOULD be tempted as I'm a huge batter/dough person.) I happily made DH this incredibly rich pumpkin spice cake over the weekend. It was a pretty large bundt cake and I only had two pieces. DH has been working on it mostly by himself. It's just not my thing and I actually love making desserts that are not my thing because I still enjoy making them but aren't tempted by them. You go girl. :)

I have a pretty easy day today. I have a lifting date w/a friend at work this morning and then I have two clients. I have the afternoon off and then I go back to work for one more client. I'll probably need the rest for tomorrow... it's going to be insane (and I'm not sure if I'll get here to post). I'm booked from 6:00 a.m through noon straight. I've got a staff meeting at 12 for an hour. My hour+ boxing lesson is at 2:30. I've got more clients from 5:00 - 6:30 and then we are meeting one of our best friend's and his family for dinner after that.

Breakfast: banana peanut butter toast

Snack: protein shake

No clue on the rest of the day.

Best voter turnout since 1968 from what I understand. I was actually going to vote this time, but took too long to sort things out. I always vote, for all levels of gov't., up here but I've never cast my absentee ballot for the U.S. elections. I once believed that I shouldn't but the results of this election affect Canada almost as much as the U.S. (heck it affects most of the world to some degree).

Anyhoo...

I've got 3 classes today (it's a fifteen class week - I shouldn't have agreed to sub 2 classes), one cardio (yay, BOSU!!!) and two strength.

Breakfast: Triple Berry Oatmeal Crisp w/ vanilla Silk, green tea

Lunch: falafel & veggies in a ww pita

Supper: ww pasta w/ tofu veggie sauce, spinach sauted w/ kalamata tapenade & slivered almonds

Snacks: ww pita w/ cracked pepper hummus, chili/lime tortilla chips w/ peach-mango salsa (mmmm...), Clif Bar, coleslaw w/ a lemongrass-ginger vinagrette, herbal tea

oh my god, i can't believe you have a gym with a carpet in the aerobics room! that's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

it's also a great way to hurt your ankle, doing step on a carpet! it sounds like it is doing better though - that's good.

Having the carpet was good for my butt when I wiped out last week. :)

We use those non-skid pads under our steps to prevent the slide. I haven't done step on carpet since the 80's, though!

i love this country, but it's in the doghouse with me this morning. it better plan on sleeping on the couch for 4 years.

i went to bed around 2 - very tired today. also drank too much. DJ Spooky was great, though. trying to organize the office christmas party today, and it is a pain in the patootie.

i'm not sure if i'll get around to exercising today. maybe i'll play dance dance revolution at home. DDR extreme is WILD. you use your feet (with the mat) and your hands on the screen (with the eye toy) and you see yourself on the screen while dancing. like i always say, you can't be in a bad mood while dancing!

food-

coffee and toast with v. cream cheese for breakfast

drumstick rice bowl and green tea frappe for lunch

leftover black-eyed pea and v. kielbasa stew for dinner

cocoa rice cakes and choc. chips

i'm sure many of them were working into the early morning hours counting absentee ballots and closing out the count - and that's not even including those in

I don't get why the absentee votes aren't done like the SATs where you bubble in your votes on a card, they feed it in a machine and get a quick feedback.
