Okay well I"m in my skinny jeans now, but they are low risers and my gut is hanging out over them...thank goodness for long shirts! So I won't go out and buy jeans any smaller than this (no way I can be a size 4 unless the orthopaedist takes out some ribs and hip bones) so my goal is to look better in my skinny jeans. I can give up the scale at home but I will continue to go for my weigh ins at WW for a while.
I am going to have to go scale free since I am going to go away again. I think I will bring my tight jeans with me as a reminder to eat healthy. Very hard to do when I am in NC. I would love to fit into my snug pants and not be a slave to the scale.
Good idea Jean. I'm opting out though. I have no intention of going near a scale, but certainly don't want/need to fit into anything smaller. I actually have to consider buying smaller stuff for work as everything is falling down (thank goodness for drawstings). I haven't been this little >>>gulp<<< since I was about 8 or 9 (I'm embarrassed to admit this - definitely not bragging). And yet I still manage to have cottage cheese on my thighs & butt - go figure.
i'm doing it! i'm waiting until i think i may have made some progress, then i'll try on my skinny jeans. but now i've upped the ante - in the long term my progress will be gauged not by my skinny jeans but by how i look in a bikini.
that's a really good idea! i'm going to take a "before" pic and use it to help motivate myself. and it will be fun to compare it to an "after" pic (with grass skirt and coconuts of course)

I forgot all about this!
Short term goals work better--so you can fit into your skinny jeans and then move to a bikini.
