I have to give you credit for not going postal on the jazzercise people yet. Without meaning to offend, they sound like the most unsupportive antagonistic group out there. How in the world do they expect to keep the jazzercise cult going if they don't educate and nurture those wanting to learn? Jeeze louise. To put you on the spot in front a group using a routine and technique that you haven't done before is unfair and IMO, cruel (Maybe, just maybe if they were a supportive group and it had a we're-all-learning-here vibe, it would be okay. That does not sound like the situation you describe though). I'd have told the jazzercise people to shove it long ago.
Oh, I totally give you kudos for perserving thus far. I understand that Jazzercise wants to have strict policies to maintain the integrity of their business, but the entire thing has sounded like one headache after another. I know you've had problems getting in touch with the people you needed to talk to and all sorts of things. It just seems like if they're so "together" about their business practices, they could be a little more together for folks who want to become instructors. Support is huge in this industry and as a company, it sounds like they are lacking big time.
I think it's fantastic that you got up and did that in front of a group, spaz or not...
Retreating back to my personal training corner.... :)
Cool... are you getting ready to be certified?????
I am studying for my test.. I have until Jan to take it but I am going to get it done before then... we are trained at our gym, and have a short period to teach before we are certified, but we are to be in the process of getting certified....what are you planning on teaching? What are you getting certifed in, group exercise?

I am sure that there are many that would have told Jazzercise to "go scratch" by now, but you have to look at all the facts about today.
Jazzercise has very high standards that they have to maintain.

I totally agree with you on that point Kel.
Well Jean I wasn't onstage.
You know, I agree w/ Kel about the lack of support.
