Taught step & abs at 6:30 am. Resting right now before I have to go teach another step class at 9:30 am.

Food:

2 slices whole grain toast w/butter & Marmite
1 mini Babybel cheese
1 glass V8

Giant coffee w/cream & sugar
edit: nix the whole grain bagel, didn't have the appetite for that, just had a banana.

Lunch: going out with bf.

Dinner: ???

I have a question to ask the instructors who teach more than 1 class a day...how many showers do you take? I don't want to take several showers a day but sitting around is gross! Do you change your clothes after every class? Curious minds want to know!

I don't teach at different times, but I have worked out in the AM and gone back hours later.

Funny you should ask about the whole change your clothes thing.

Three showers a day sounds excessive and can really dry out your skin.

i don't find it to be a problem, perhaps because i'm not very liberal with my use of soap. i tend to only wash the perceived "dirty" areas and let the others just get rinsed. i don't really see much difference between using

I've been teaching an average of a dozen classes a week for about a decade & currently teach 2-4 classes/day. First I should point out that often I teach 2-3 classes in row so obviously I wouldn't clean up in between. Secondly, breaking a sweat isn't easy for me anymore, aside from my feet and underarms. In the early years, when I'd teach at different times of day, I did shower and change completely after every workout. Then, I simplified to wiping myself off w/ wet-wipes & changing my outer clothes and socks if I'd only done one class, shower if i'd done several in a row or sweat profusely (body only - hair & face stayed dry). Now I only shower & change at the gym if I've worked up a sweat & I'm going out somewhere else immediately, otherwise I wear my stinky, sweaty stuff home, then bathe & change there. If I have no more classes & I'm just going home I play it by ear (or by nose as the case may be). I only change my clothes if neccessary because quite frankly its a pain in the butt, and I'm too darn busy, to be doing a zillion loads of laundry a week. I use a deodorant crystal on every part of me that sweats though, always have wet wipes on hand & change my socks for every class (unless, like I said, I'm doing back to back classes).

Oh, yeah - journal.

Alright, I've got today off, but I'll probably do a little yoga & some core work on my stability ball. Chipping ice off my walkways will be a workout too i imagine.

Breakfast: multigrain bread w/ PB; soy chai latte

Lunch: tomato & onion salad w/ balsamic vinaigrette; ginseng-green tea

Supper: I'll probably make a batch of roasted butternut squash soup & have some w/ multigrain bread, if not it'll be marinated tofu w/ steamed veggies

Snacks: fresh fruit/veggies; oatmeal cookies; popcorn; tea of varying sorts

My question - how many times a day do you wash your hair? OK so I dont like to wash my hair everyday, it is just too much damage when I blowdry etc. But I workout everyday and sweat everyday, and recently my hairline is breaking out bad, did this ever happen to anyone else and what did you do?
