Anything you want to accomplish this month, or things you want to avoid, like being stressed?

I'm going with the goals I set before:

Great thread!!
1. Run 5 miles, four times a week
2. Lift 2-3 times a week, full body each time
3. Stay in control of my diet on the weekends.
4. Lose 8-10 pounds this month

i'm still sticking with my aloha resolutions - whole foods diet and what i'll call my 5/2/2/1 exercise plan (5 cardio, 2 yoga, 2 core, 1 strength training workouts per week)

also, get through the holidays being reasonably nice and gracious vs. antisocial and grinchy

1. Eat 1 or less fatty baked treats per day! (I'm not going to even pretend to try to cut them out completely. MODERATION is my goal).

2. Run 5k 2x a week instead of 1, and get down under 23 min.

3. Sign up for 2 or more winter classes through the Y.

4. Drink and pig out less on weekends.

5. Enjoy the holidays w/out stressing so much about buying stupid gifts (who started that gosh-awful tradition, anyway!? Darn 3 kings!).

Hmm... Okay, I have a couple.

I'd like to get through my family visit without pigging out too much. I also intend to exercise while I'm there (and I've been consistant with this on past visits).

I will try not to get too frustrated with rampant client cancellations.

I will schedule two long walks with my partner-in-crime for the January half marathon.

I will stick with my split workouts until the end of the holidays.

Like Jen, I will do my best to endure... err... enjoy the holidays instead of being pissy and crabby.

What classes are you thinking of taking at the Y?

It would be so cool if the gymrats could adopt a family and buy things for them that they need.

i'd be up for that, but it won't help with grinchiness. i'm very thankful for how lucky i am, but that doesn't make me less antisocial about having to go to "so many" (meaning more than none) parties. it's just my personality - i don't like being at parties. it's too much effort. also it doesn't make me feel any better about my eternal christmas present problem with T's parents. i make it clear in advance that i don't want any presents, but i receive a million anyway - then what do you do? you gotta just fake that you like them (i remind myself that thankfully accepting presents i don't want is ME giving THEM a present, by not ruining something for them that obviously makes them happy) - but faking things ALWAYS puts me into a bad mood even when it's for a good cause. again it's just my personality.

I am aiming for lifting weights at least once a week. I want to maintain my weight.. and that is about it for December. Other than getting my test over with for my certification.

When are you taking it and when do you find out how you did?
