How varied are the size clothes you have in your closet?

since i've become obsessed with "clean sweeping" i don't have as much variation. for a long time i had everything from a size 4 to a size 12 - about a 30 lb difference in weight. now, if i lost or gained 10 lbs i'd have some clothes to wear, but not many. if i gained more than 10 lbs, i'd be out of luck.

The smallest thing in my closet is a size 1 - and the largest is a size 12...I also have a 34" waisted kilt that I should really get rid of, because it looks silly when I wear it, all bunched up at the waist with a belt.

In my closet now is 6-12. I'm still hanging on to the size 12s in case something happens and I gain weight in 2005.

I got into clean sweeping, too, but I'm totally off the trends.

I just got fed up with having fat clothes in my closet this past summer and went on a cleaning spree. Anything that survived the spree either a) still fit with a belt or something or b) I couldn't bear to give away.

what do you wear the kilt for? are you of scottish or irish heritage?

i don't know much about how kilts are constructed, but maybe you could get it altered to fit?

i clean swept primarily clothes that didn't fit. but it's pretty safe to clean sweep because clothes are out of style - rarely when clothes come back in style are they the same as they were the first time (or second time), there's usually enough of a difference that you can tell that someone just pulled that out of the back of his closet from the 80s. that might work for some people going for a thrift store look, but usually the person who originally had the item in the back of his closet can't pull it off.

i don't keep any clothes that are completely too big, so that i can't wear them at all now. i get rid of them, assuming i'll never gain weight again - gotta think positive!

i keep clothes that would fit if i lost a reasonable amount of weight (if they are still in style), but not the tiny ones i wore when i was working out 4 hours a day and had no time to eat anything b/c i was in law school.

If it was a wrap kilt, I'd just re-sew the buttons, but it is a ordinary skirt style kilt, zipper up the back. I wear it to concerts and stuff, with black fishnets and black patent leather spike-necklaces ;)

oh, i thought you meant a traditional kilt, d'oh.

how old are you, if you don't mind me asking? we used to dress like that back in the 80s, but i know that the kids today are into to old school punk style again. when i got rid of all my leather shoes, the hardest thing to part with was my doc martens. they sat unworn in my closet for years before i could bear to part with them.

LOL! I can't bear to get rid of my Docs! I've had them since high school (I'm 28) and they have been sitting in my basement for years. They just have too many memories.
