Everyone around here is grouchy because we work almost all holidays, so I need a pick-me-up.

I get a little grouchy/grinchy this time of year too but I'll do my best. :)
What are your Xmas plans?
We are having my inlaws over on Friday for a big dinner. On saturday, we're going over to our best friend's grandparents house for dinner.
What are you most looking forward to about Xmas?
It'll be nice to have the family over. My MIL's sister recently moved to AZ and she's never actually been to my house so it'll be nice to have her here. Also, my inlaws do tend to be a pretty fun group. Especially when the wine starts flowing...
What gift are you most excited to give?
Haha... a couple of things. There is a deck of xmas playing cards that "make the rounds" every year. I have a deck so I'm giving them to my MIL but I wrapped them in a huge box. Also, last spring my sister-in-law and I made a bizarre creation from Floam (which my niece got for her birthday). I have had it all this time and I'm wrapping it and giving it to her.
What are your New Year's plans? If you're going out, what will you wear?
We haven't actually decided yet. We don't usually go out. I almost always want to but decide that I don't want to deal with drunk drivers, etc. Our old standby is to make a really decadent dinner and ring in the new year in our hot tub.
What are you most looking forward to about New Year's?
Nothing really about the actual day. I'm looking forward to the new year itself because I'm going on vacation in January and also because of my new job. I'm looking forward to the challenges it'll bring.
What are your Xmas plans?
Open gifts w/ the kids in the Am and then going to my SIL's for dinner.
i like Christmas because i celebrate it completely voluntarily (i wasn't raised Christian) so it doesn't have any baggage for me. T really likes Christmas, so i like to make it fun for him.
What are your Xmas plans?
-we are going to T's parents' house friday and saturday to have
What are your Xmas plans?
*I am going over to my parents' house on Friday for my mom's side of the family. That night, after everyone else leaves, we'll celebrate Xmas w/our immediate family. The next day, we'll go a couple hours away for my dad's side of the family, then fiance and I will leave to go to his parents' house for the rest of the afternoon/evening.
What are you most looking forward to about Xmas?
*The appetizers at my parents' house, getting a buzz while drinking wine during Xmas Eve day, and opening gifts w/my immediate family in the evening.
What gift are you most excited to give?
*My presents are boring this year. I'm excited to give my fiance a small football scrapbook I made him of pictures from this years' games, my mom a pretty black shawl, and my younger brother a framed picture of him and his gf that I secretly touched up with Photoshop because it was too dark for them to use.
What are your New Year's plans? If you're going out, what will you wear?
Going over to a friend and her fiance's house. My fiance isn't too thrilled because he won't know anyone but the 2 of them, but I hope he will relax and eventually have fun. I think he will. Not sure what I'll wear, but the "slutty shirt" I posted on this board is an option. What you can't see from the picture is that it is mostly backless, and sheer from the bottom of the bustline down. :) I would have to wear a cardigan over it though.
What are you most looking forward to about New Year's?
Giving the hostess the gift I got for her dog... a little hunting jacket w/flannel lining. :)
Ringing in the new years with champagne in a hot tub sounds great to me!
I'll be you're going to be busy, soon, with the New Years resolution crowd!
Where are you going on vacation in January?
And your New Year's plans sound awesome to me. We usually stay in ourselves (minus the hot tub - boo hoo).
Your best friend's grandparent's house? How did that tradition start? Sounds fun.
