Everyone around here is grouchy because we work almost all holidays, so I need a pick-me-up.

What are your Xmas plans?

What are you most looking forward to about Xmas?

What gift are you most excited to give?

What are your New Year's plans? If you're going out, what will you wear?

What are you most looking forward to about New Year's?

Wow, an ipod is quite a generous gift. Lucky sister!

What kind of fondue do you make? Cheese? Chocolate? I've never had fondue myself.

I found this @ Target for $10! I love dog clothes, too - my cats refuse to wear anything, or just freeze up and don't move if I put anything on them. My aunt's long-haired tiny chihuahua might be coming over for Xmas, and I wish I had gotten her something too! Dog clothes are the best.

We are doing a Mexican riviera cruise. Our ports are Puerto Vallarta, Cabo, and Mazatlan. It should be fun. :) We did a Royal Carribbean cruise last January and this year we're doing Princess so it'll be interesting to see how the two compare.

Re: new year's plans... I can't remember who it was, but there was a stand-up comic who did a bit on the whole new years thing. He said that going out to a big party on New Year's always sounds like a really great idea but then it's usually anti-climatic because people are drunk and slobbering all over themselves... LOL. :) That's my sentiment too.

My husband's best friend (and mine too) has been around for a while so we've gotten pretty close with his family. We call them our other inlaws. :) We all spent Thanksgiving together last year and it was a lot of fun. They invited us for xmas so we decided to go even though the best friend isn't even going to be there. :P We actually see his family maybe a little more than he does.

What are your Xmas plans?

Christmas eve the inlaws are coming over for chinese buffet, then we are opening presents from each other, then we are going to church where dh will be playing drums. Christmas day will just be the four of us...wake up, open presents, and relax

What are you most looking forward to about Xmas?

Just watching the kids open presents

What gift are you most excited to give?

I got dh a bunch of stuff using the money that I got back from selling my school books. He isn't expecting much so it will be fun to shock him.

What are your New Year's plans? If you're going out, what will you wear?

I am still trying to find a new years tradition that involves the kids. This year I will be wearing pjs

What are you most looking forward to about New Year's?

I'm not really that big on new years.

The deep fried fondue sounds absolutely terrible. Ugh. Like making french fries or donuts or whatever at home... never turns out!

I'll probably be one of the New Year's slobberers... if not that, I'll fall asleep!! Think I better stock up on some Red Bull before the big night.

Let me know how Cabo is... that's one of the places I'm considering for my wedding. Lucky you!

Our ship last year had a rock climbing wall that DH took advantage of. It's only "open" at certain times though.

You know what Jean, the food really wasn't that good. Yes, there's endless amounts of it but the quality was pretty mediocre. One of my food goals as of late is to teach myself only to eat the things I really, really want. I did not do that on the last cruise. There weren't a whole lot of activities on board so the sea-days were kind of boring and mealtimes because a very big deal. I am resolving not to repeat this on this cruise. I will let myself have whatever I want, but it needs to be worth it. :) I do not want to eat just for the sake of eating. It's a habit that's been very tough to break, but I'm getting there, I think. I do remember the buffets having very nice salad bars which I did not take advantage of and that's something I intend to do differently on this cruise as well. Somebody needs to write "Cruising for Dummies". :)
