i'll help with the legwork and help chauffeur too. i know they offer a good price on rooms at the hotel in which the conference is located. and i think we can get a discounted group rate for the conference if we have a certain number of people - so start thinking about it and planning for it early so we can arrange for a group rate!

i believe registration info will be out early in 2005 so we can check back then.

if you didn't want to rent a car, i could pick you up from BWI and drive you to the conference center/hotel. it's a good place to stay if you don't have a car, because it's in an upscale shopping district thingy, with shops and restaurants right there. so it's not like you are stuck at a holiday inn by the side of a highway with nowhere to walk to.

Okay, I think I am stupid or something. What is this? I couldn't learn much from the website. Is it for certified instructors? Getting certified? or just for the heck of it? I wanna come, I think?

it is a fitness conference that anyone can go to, though most of the people who go are group fitness instructors or personal trainers. they have 3 days of master classes and a few lectures. the classes are taught by world class master instructors from all over the world. you choose what classes you want to take - you only have time to take a small fraction of the classes offered. they have awesome step, kickboxing, aerobics classes, also pilates, yoga, spinning, water aerobics etc. if you are a certified instructor or trainer, you can get continuing education credits for taking the classes. there is also a big trade show with fitness clothes, music, fitness equipment (like bosus, exertubes, etc.), and other stuff. there is a big party usually on the first night. you get to see all the latest trends in fitness - for instance, that's where i first tried bosu (actually that's the only place i've taken a bosu class, unfortunately).

i think the website does have descriptions of the classes for 2004, if you look for it. but since they haven't prepared the website for DCAC 2005 yet, the website is not complete right now. probably around february the new info will be up. i'll let everyone know.

the first year i went i wasn't yet an instructor, i just went for fun - it is REALLY fun. it's just taking classes for 3 days straight. and the classes are much better than the classes i normally have available to me. i think it would be really fun to stay at the hotel where it's offered. it's a nice hotel and it would be convenient to stay right there. there is also a nice indoor pool at the hotel, and i think it has a spa in it (a massage would be perfect after a long day of classes.)

you should definitely come!!

P.S. for people flying in for DCAC, the closest airport is Dulles. but you might get cheaper fares into BWI or National.
