it seems like it would be a good workout, but the machine my gym has, the steps are way too short!! i have small feet too - a women's size 7 - and i could barely fit my whole foot on the step. i kept getting my toes pinched in the crease as the step moved down. i'm not going to use it with my heel hanging off the back of the step! it was frustrating. i don't think i'd use the machine much because of this problem.


do others experience this, or does my gym just have a cruddy version of the machine?

It's flimsy? Ours seems pretty sturdy to me.

a lot of the stuff at my gym is in bad condition - that's probably the cause of the flimsiness. the gym stinks, literally and figuratively. it's a terrible gym.

it's definitely the least used piece of cardio equipment at this gym. i have never ever seen anyone use it before i did the other day. i'm sure that's due in part to the fact that it was out of order for like 9 months!
