so far, my gyms have been noticiably more crowded than usual, but i wouldn't say packed. i hope enough people stick with it that the gyms get enough money to buy some nicer equipment!
we don't have bosus, and not enough medicine balls or stability balls to use them in class. both my gyms are kind of dumps, especially considering how much they cost!
millcreek's YMCA is the king of all YMCAs - it rocks. i bet all of us YMCA people could get in there free. we should all take a road trip (once Millcreek is back in action) to visit her at her kickin' YMCA.
1. The "meathead" gym is not very busy at all, they don't seem to troll for new members aggressively - only had 1 person in my Monday class, and 6 last night, all regulars.
2. This gym is the one I actually belong to, where I do my personal workouts..they have been packed lately, I had all newbies to my sculpting class yesterday, one girl looked so grumpy, I could not get eye contact or a smile out of her...she won't be lasting I don't think!
My gym has been packed the last 2 days. Lots of people getting orientations, and I've never before seen all of the treadmills being used at the same time... (funny story about that below)
There was only one empty treadmill last night when I was ready to run, so i got on between a couple of meatheads, and they informed me that it was broken and they had all tried to fix it. The display was stuck on the last workout. So I hopped off, flipped the power switch on and off, got back on the "repaired" treadmill, and ran like crazy. ;) An old man was watching the whole exchange and said, "I think she's smarter than all of you combined!" ha ha ha.

That is what we are hoping..... I read some of your posts and we don't have near the equipment

I thought I read you did the bosu thing, too.
We had a poster who taught Zumba--it sounds like a mix of salsa, chacha and fun kinds of dance.
that must have been millcreek's Y you visited! she's in charlotte.
i've done bosu at dcac and i have one at home. that's probably why you heard me talking about it. i WISH i could take or teach regular bosu classes!
Oh wow, that Y was awsome!
I teach at 2 gyms:
