I'm doing the MedGem test this morning. I'm going to lift today and maybe do some cardio if I have time.

This morning I put the UPS (uninterruptible power supply) back on my computer - lots of wrestling with power cords! It was acting up so I took it to my geek boyfriend who pronounced there was "nothing wrong with it", it seems fine now, keeping my fingers crossed. Then I am going to the gym, where I am doing lower body boot camp. Afterwards, I am going to the mall to look for a top that will match a chocolate brown velvet skirt I bought on Boxing Day (12/26) What goes with chocolate brown besides cream? And do you think black shoes w/brown skirt is a no-no? Because I do not own any brown shoes winter shoes!

Breakfast:
Babybel cheese and a banana

Lunch: leftover green curry chicken

Dinner: ???

Jean, I SO want to try that peppermint stick Luna, but in every store here there are the same 3-4 flavours, lemon zest, nutz over chocolate, key lime pie, and chai tea, which is my favourite of the bunch. Tried the chocolate mint Clif bar, but it's much higher in calories than Luna and I'm pretty sure it was the culprit when I had MAJOR TOOTS that day.

I don't think black shoes with a brown skirt would be a no-no... maybe find a shirt with a little black in it to tie it all together.

Breakfast - soy protein shake
snack - atkins yogurt & flax
lunch - left over turkey taco salad
snack/post workout - whey protein shake
dinner - chicken & veggies

I really need to get some serious work done today. Sigh. I also need to shovel the remaining snow. We got just over a foot of snow. My back and several other muscles are quite sore from shoveling the walk and our large driveway three times yesterday. Gotta love winter.

brown is the new black! it matches tons of colors! i wear brown all the time. it goes great with white, pink, dark/brick red, light blue, aqua blue, black...


i wear black shoes with brown just because of my limited shoe collection (T would crack up

Breakfast - Cereal, hot lemon water, orange wedges

A.M. Snack - sugarless lemonade

Lunch - chicken, veggies, salad, cranberry sauce

Dinner - egg salad, chicken salad, lettuce, grapes

no exercise

I love turquoise with brown. AND peppermint stick Luna Bars. They are awesome.

SNOWED IN in Wisconsin and grouchy as heck. I white-knuckled it all the way to work (took an hour to get here) on partially unplowed roads and am now exhausted. Good thing I have Body Pump @ noon to re-energize me. Can't wait!

oh i hear ya on the snow!!!! I'm quite a bit west of you. Luckily i have a job where i can work from home... but I still had to dig out since my bf has had to work. I think I may try to make it to the gym today for a swim workout. Then soak in the hot tub... that ought to help these aching muscles.

Enjoy your class today. I hope your dive home is better than the drive in... it's nice and sunny here now.

BUT I hear we're getting more snow next week. YUCK!

I do the low carb thing and it really works well for me. Over the past year I've gained 20 pounds!!! But, I've lost 10 pounds since December 1st! I learned a lot from Atkins and South Beach reading and took what I liked from those. That's also how I lost 74 pounds about 4 years ago. Now when I'm not in "diet" mode, I eat high protein and try to make healthy carb choices, like fruit, veggies, and whole grains.
