How was your past week--are you happy with your diet and exercise?

I don't recommend doing it on a regular basis, but it did jump start my working out again. It also pointed out to me how out of shape I am now. I could have done that easily 18 months ago and not be sore.

I am now going to temporarily do 2 classes Monday evenings until a permenant instructor can be found. I hope they find one sooner than later. I really don't like the kind of class one of them is...it is a 1 to 1 Cardio...1 minute cardio and 1 minute toning alternating. Before it a butt and gutt. So, it will be hard to legs again in the second class and I hate bending down to pick up weights when your heart rate is up. Oh, well...see how it goes. I can always talk the class through it like it was a Curves workout.

Body Shaping (name brand) steps are a smaller black step of 4". They were featured on the Body Shaping show on ESPN with Kendall Hogan? Anyway, I bought mine in Walmart and it came with a Kendall Hogan video and 2 2" risers. These steps are actually too small lengthwise to do a decent v-step or turn step. I wish this gym would invest in the Reebok step that is black with the attached risers. After using THE Step for so long, I don't feel that secure on these steps.

It is amazing how doing something different than your normal routine can make you so sore. Those penguin walks can be a killer!!

Take care and too bad about the posters. Good of you to concede..out with the old, in with the new.

You did great today in class, Undone! No one would have known you were new. You were even braver than I was with staying so close to the front.

Aren't these body shaping steps tiny compared to the reebok steps that seem wider?

I was in the front because I wanted to really be able to see what the instructor was doing.

So, you need to teach me to look cute in jazzertogs... Or, maybe like flat abs, that's a genetic thing!;-)

OMG, that's the hard part about teaching! I could either face the class and have to cue everything backward or I had to face the front and subject them to my butt!

This week started off well, as far as diet, but now I am all messed up again. I was actually starting to not want the greasy yucky stuff, but at the same time I don't know what to eat. The "healthy" stuff doesn't fill me up. I calculated my calorie consumption and I take in over 2500 calories. Anyway, I'm getting frustrated and feel like giving up on eating better. Of course exercise is going well for me, starting tkd again has really helped me set better goals and have a better attitude about working out.

I might get to the gym today, i'm not sure.

food:
Lean pocket
sonic hamburger, tater tots
clementines
maple-braised porkchops and apples
