I am not sure which classes you are taking and which you are teaching, and I've never taught a class, so I don't know how much energy that requires (I would guess a lot!)... but I would get really worn out of I did 2 in a row, and the next day my intensity level would be rotten. I get run down really quickly if I don't pace myself working out, including how long I work out per day. Then I end up sidelined w/a cold or an injury or whatever. Just listen to your body is my advice - you know how much you can handle.

We tried to go snowshoeing this weekend but the straps on the shoes we were borrowing were deterioriated and about to fall apart, so we ended up going hiking in the snow instead. I borrowed my dad's Sorels (we have the same size feet!) and we went to a nearby park and walked for about an hour and a half, in about 10 inches of snow. Wow, is that a good workout. Kind of like walking in deep sand on the beach - requires a lot of muscles for stablity and balance. My legs were really sore afterwards. Now if only I had ice skates... we found an iceskating pond at the park as well.
I did both. The step was easy. It's step circuit--Jen and I have talked about how we don't like classes that incorporate little lifting and that's what this is.
It's ALL about the placement of your mic if you have one. Sometimes I can't find that "sweet spot" where it picks up my voice but isn't right near my nose and it totally sounds like Darth Vader. Then I make some joke about it.
right now the Y has the kind of microphone that clips to your top rather than the kind you wear on your head. i like that kind much better - it's designed to pick up your voice from farther away so you aren't breathing right into it. i also like that i don't have to wear anything on my head. in most of the classes i teach, i don't use a mic - the rooms are too small to need one.

Sometimes I do 2 cardio classes in a row.... and it wears me out, but then it is easier than I think to do it sometimes.

Sorry, I'm taking both but thinking of being a long-term sub for the step.
