I feel no need to complain about the weather. Its an inconvenience & uncomfortable but no matter how bad it seems to get I can always be thankful I don't live in Southeast Asia. I have a home, family, enough food and my car has heat. What more could i possibly need?
WOW! Good for you! That Aerobathon sounds great. I'll have to check out what you've posted about it. That's a major undertaking. I hope it goes off w/o a hitch.
Kudos on the classes. By the way I don't do any personal workouts, except yoga, when I'm teaching a full schedule. I'm planning on gradually reducing my classes and increasing the personal training over the next 2-3 years. I think I'm able to handle my schedule since I've always been like this (I did dance for at least 3 hours a day 4 days a week from a young age, which increased as I advanced & finally became pro), but its definitely getting harder as I get older. Unfortunately, I've discovered I have difficulty keeping my thoughts organized when I'm not doing something. I need to be moving to think/express myself clearly. This makes teaching seminars & doing personal training awkward. My advice to you, learn to participate less. Get people moving, but don't feel compelled to do everything w/ them or to work at the most advanced level. For example I teach Step w/ one less riser than if I were taking the class; I use less weight when teaching than when on my own; in more basic, form-focused classes like kickboxing & bootcamp I spend half the class walking around offering feedback & encouragement.Demonstrate the higher intensity/more complex moves & choreography then do most of the class at the intermediate level.
So, do you have any regular classes that you teach? And whatever happened w/ that trainer that probably shouldn't be leading classes?
I had an instructor tell me how new instructors do the class, at high intensity because that's just what happens but you learn over time not to do that.

How go the classes, Jean?
I saw below that you're the fave sub at the gym. How cool is that? Good for you!
I missed you gals too. I see we've got some newbies. Wish I had time to catch up more.
They went pretty well--thanks for asking. It was exhausting, though. I don't know how you maintain your schedule of teaching!
