Sound advice. As well, w/o implying any sort of criticism toward that instructor, try to encourage participants to talk to management about their complaints.

Yours is an unfortunate situation. Most gyms usually rate quality of instruction higher than 'seniority'. If an instructor isn't very good & a better instructor, regardless of experience, is available for that time slot then the better instructor usually gets the spot.

Be patient, professional & upbeat and follow Jen's advice and you'll probably find things improve quickly. That rotating Sat. schedule will undoubtedly have an impact too.

No, you're not whining. You've got a legitimate gripe. As a certifed instructor and personal trainer I can tell you that being one does not in any way, shape or form qualify you to do the other. Training someone one on one on weight & cardio equipment is completely different to leading a group of people through an organized & choreographed class to music. This is especially wrong when there are certified, competant instructors available to do the job they were trained for.
