Oh, yes, Good Luck, Melissa on the class. By now you must have already taught it and I bet it went well!!! Hope your nerves settled down. Please let us know how it went.

I do know the feeling...I will be starting to teach a Tues morning class in week and calling it CardioFit. I haven't decided exactly what I am going to do in it but it will be a combo of cardio and some toning at the end. I am actually going to ask for member ideas. I figure with a name like Cardio Fit, I can do just about anything. So...I am getting a little anxious to start that class.

Tomorrow evening I am teaching 2 classes and will be teaching them until a permanent instructor is found. I have a feeling, those classes will be mine for a long time. I am not thoroughly thrilled with them. They are 45 minute classes and one is a butt n gutt and the other one is a "1Cardio1". I have no idea what to do for that one...but it is supposed to be one minute of cardio alternating with 1 minute of toning. Blah!

If it makes you feel any better, I have been teaching almost 20 years and I still get nervous.

Glad it went well...I didn't realize you got back to us already. It sounds like you are doing what I am going to be doing in my Tues class.

I guess I could do the 1:1 class like you suggested but I don't think I would make it through it....LOL! The description of the class is 1 minute of cardio alternating with 1 minute of toning with weights with no choreography and for all levels. I am sure I can use the body bars as well as the tubing. I will still do squats and stuff but the plyometric stuff would have to be the cardio. However, I really don't think my feet could handle the plyometric stuff. I could see that all working in a sports conditioning class though.

Cardio Fit is a name a I made up because another gym calls it ALL FIT and I didn't want to use the same name. The instructor started with step, went into hi/lo and then did some kickboxing. She ended the class with heavy upper body weights, abs and a stretch. The class went so fast and I am excited to try it.

I will let you know how the first class of each goes.

Those do sound like fun classes.... I have never thought about a cardio class like you mentioned, 1cardio1.. sounds tough but fun.

This class on Saturdays is a cardio/sculpting .... I did cardio for 30 min. and tried to do head to toe sculpting....did that at the end.

An instructor asked me if I would be able to sub for her in a couple of weeks.
