How long is your hair right now, Jean? It's nice doing a change this time of year! Good luck on your raffle - hope your salon is generous!

I'm about to have breakfast and then do a family trip to the health club. We've been trying to do this each Saturday morning. DH & I work out while the kids are in child care. It's fun for everyone! Tomorrow I'm going to work-out after work (unfortunately, it's not going to be a holiday weekend for me) and then work-out after work on Monday. Body Pump for Sunday and Body Step for Monday!

Have a great work-out tomorrow!

me me! this morning i started my new session of pilates - moved up to a harder class. it was fun. in a couple of minutes i'm going to a movie with a friend - i convinced her that we should walk to the theater! it's about 2.5 each way. tonight i'm going to do some yoga at home.

tomorrow i'm lifting weights and swimming! haven't been swimming in a while! i'l have to post about monday on monday - that starts a new workout week for me, so it's not planned out yet. but i am teaching my normal cardio kickboxing class on monday.

Just realized it was 3 day weekend...nothing really changes for me much. After a late start, I used the elliptical for 35 minutes and then scooted home to clean. Just as I thought, I lost the "urge" to clean as I always do once I go out. I am one of those people who have to do what I have to do before going out. I am glad I got some stuff home before I left and glad I worked out.

What is up with indoor cycling for 6 days in a row? How do you do so much Jean? Give me some of your energy. My motor is wearing out...LOL!

Good luck with your haircut. If you are tiny, shorter hair might be the ticket!

You're so sneaky ;)

I went to bootcamp this morning and then did arms. I took ds to his mommy and me gymnastics class, and decided to play on the trampoline while I was there. I can't get over how much flexibility I have lost--WOW! I use to do beautiful straddle jumps, now it hurts to do an ugly one--but I can still do splits on chairs :/ After that I taught cario kickboxing. Now I'm tired, but I'm sure I'll be up and running before the end of the day. Excess energy.

LOL, I meant I worked out 6 days in a row is all... If I did 6 days of spin, you'd have to pry me off the floor w/ a crowbar!

That picture of you doing the splits on those guys was impressive!

Whew...I thought you were superwoman doing all those spin classes! I still don't like spin. The music is played so loudly and I don't get the whole dark room thing. I would be in so much pain with the loud music, there is no way I could get lost in it and think I am outside riding a bicycle. Also, like step, a lot of the instructors don't follow guidelines and use "illegal" moves on the bike. Sigh.....

I took a class the other day and the music was so loud, my ears were ringing. That worries me since I don't want to end up with tinnitus. I have to remember to bring my foam earplugs in when taking classes. I don't get why the instructors have to scream even when wearing the mic. Double whammy...loud voice and loud music!

OK...I feel better that it was 6 days of working out and not 6 days of spin.

I've actually seen some high tech spin classes that have a big projection screen with outdoor scenes.

we don't turn the lights off for spin. i think our instructors are very different from the ones you have.

what you aren't supposed to do in spin (at least the only thing i'm aware of) that a lot of teachers do is stand straight up over the pedals and pedal along like you are jogging on the pedals. it's really bad for your knees. if you stand up out of the seat, you should keep your butt back above the seat. but a lot of teachers have you do the "illegal" move. when one of my teachers have us do it, i just ignore her instruction and keep my butt back anyway.
