I don't know what it's like in the US, but here in Ontario, psychologists aren't allowed to give prescriptions, only psychiatrists. I really think I need medication - there aren't "issues" in my life that are causing me to be unhappy, I just react very badly to very small situations.

Anyways, I have an appointment with my GP next Monday, hopefully he can give me a referral to a psychiatrist or at least tell me how to get in touch with one. I really think I hit bottom, my "episodes" have been getting worse the past few months. At first I thought I could deal with them, but they are out of hand.

I did chest and ran on the indoor track. I have team training followed by regular tkd tonight. I am suppose to be doing research right now, but daycare called because ds bit 3 people, and as a rule he had to go home for the day. So I am at home, without my beloved library :( He is a biting machine, I still don't know what to do. Maybe I'll call supernanny!

Food:
Way to much junk because I am upset :(

that's the way it is here too, but what i meant was that if you go to a psychologist for (talk) therapy he or she can refer you to a psychiatrist to give you medication. then, the psychologist gives you therapy and you visit the psychiatrist solely to monitor your medication. that happens all the time. the psychologists are used to referring patients to psychiatrists for meds and they have specific doctors they work with - so my point was that a psychologist can refer you to a psychiatrist who would then be more likely to make time for you since you were referred by a psychologist with whom the psychiatrist has an ongoing working relationship.

Today was my BodyStep class. I had a different instructor who worked us hard! After that I took my kids to go sledding. We had perfect weather for that - sunny and in the 30's with no breeze. We climbed up that hill over a dozen times. My legs are tired!

Breakfast: Cottage cheese, applesauce & cashews

Lunch: Chicken, spinach & greenbeans (went to Boston Market)

Dinner: Maybe I'll whip up a Salmon Patty, with applesauce and green beans, or a side salad.

I work tonight so I'll grab a SmartZone bar for a snack when things die down around 8:00pm.

sweating more is one sign that your body is more efficient at cooling itself, as you become more fit, your body becomes more effective at regulating its temperature. and rising body temperature is one of the limiting factors on exercise.

i agree with you about people choosing how to spend their money on charitable causes. i don't think it's ever a good way to judge people by whether they give to a particular cause. that's one of the problems with highly publicized tragedies like the tsunami - giving to this one charity

I don't mind if people don't donate for whatever reason.

So Jean... what would you call people (usually men - which would be be sexism to a degree)that won't try a 'hardcore' type of class because the instructor is a petite, youthful-looking blonde? ;-) (Maybe they're just embarrassed by the likelihood of getting their butts kicked.)
