When I brought up the point that people give to charity but can't say yes to all charities I wasn't aiming that at YOU.

Thanks--I was taking it personally because I brought it up initially.

The other thing is that amount of sweat is also hereditary.

I should point out that I do get days off, occasionally, from work but I spend them running from pillar to post w/ all the errands I don't have time for when I work; doing paperwork and research. Christmas day was the first time in months I picked up a book for purely recreational purposes and it's pathetic how thoroughly I enjoyed the experience - I'd forgotten how much fun it is.

Anyway.... to answer your question Jan. 9 I didn't leave the house. Although I did laundry & three complete meals for my family it was what I'd consider a REAL day off, but I have to admit I gave into it because I've been drained from fighting off whatever bugs are out there (felt like I'm coming down w/ something since before Christmas but >>>knock wood<<< I haven't really gotten anything yet) I'm not very good at taking time off, but I don't usually suffer much from burnout either. I think it has something to do w/ the time of year & not seeing my family enough. As a matter of fact I currently have no clients or classes scheduled for this coming Sunday so I'm going to suggest a family day at the main art gallery here. They're having an Open House w/ all sort of activities, seminars, films and a look behind the scenes.

You have no idea how absolutely untrue that statement is! LOL! I have my schedule posted on two large Day Timers and on regular calender AND I carry another DayTimer around w/ me AND still forget things. There are alzheimer's patients w/ better memories than me. I checked my calendar & saw that Sunday Jan. 9 was my last day off & guessed that it was the one I took as a 'slacker' day. It may actually have been in Dec., but I'm pretty sure it was Jan. 9.
