I'm doing cardio interval class and sports yoga (depending on how long I last).

I haven't really heard of root veggies being GM either. It's usually produce that is more perishable. They're modified for longer shelf life & to be better able to withstand the rigours of transport.

Are GM tomatoes still being produced?

I remember reading about the difference but can't remember the details--just from taste comparison I liked the sweet potatoes over yams I've bought.

Thanks, Jean, me too. I'm watching my nephew, his friend, along with my own two kids and a little boy I watch. No rest for the weary. But the older 4 were playing peacefully down in the basement and the little was napping, I was able to get a few winks! Not enough, though!

I really didn't do anything really special. You might get some ideas from turnstep.com. Anyway, I did step touches and then did them with more of a leap from side to side. (plyometrics?) Heel digs and then jumped them as well as putting your foot behind you and jumping that with big arms. Of course there are squats and lunges and doing them at different paces...like singles, down two up two, down one squeeze up three, little pulses...all to the music. Then I did some knees, repeater knees 2, 4 and 8 on each side. It ended up being a lot of repititions. Of course, there are jumping jacks and double jacks, as well as jumping rope with different feet positions.

I went through a segment of punches and knees with kicks, football runs, bob and weaves with shuffling 4 side to side. I certainly mixed it up. I also did the standing ab work.

More good ideas. When growing up, my mom used to mash carrots and potatoes together too. WE didn't like cooked carrots but we could tolerate them with the mashed potatoes.

On one of those gourmet cooking shows, they explained that what we get in the states are all yams. I think they said the only place you can get real sweet potatoes in South America and they look different. So...the stores really are wrong when they call yams sweet potatoes. It is all the same and just different colors. I found that interesting and now I know it doesn't matter.

Oh, maybe it was Africa...all I know is that you can't get sweet potatoes here. Grace
