buy an elliptical machine. We got a home version of the Precor that was highly rated by fitness professionals and comsumer reports. IT is going to be delivered Tuesday. Now I won't have to go to the gym to use one and it is something I can do that doesn't hurt my feet.

Too bad we will have to move the treadmill out of the way. I can always dry clothes on it.

Wow, that's awesome. Precors are so good, not like those other flimsy ellipticals you see sometimes.

Wow, good for you! And if you get the model with the arms the move, your clothes will dry that much faster!

Too funny about the dual action elliptical. We went for the cross ramp instead...neither one of us like to do the arms at the same time. It actually slows me down. I can always not hold on and pump my arms if I care to.

I just like the "stide" of the Precors. DH had to get used to movement since he was used to the one at PT that hurts my knees. This one has a 10 year warrenty on parts and 3 years parts and service. The store we went to only handles precors from the home edition to the gym model. There is a difference but this one will work out just fine since it is only the two of us using it. We went to another store and they didn't sell Precors, just Vision Fitness ellipticals, but I didn't like it at all. My knee popped with the first stride.

I feel there has to be a reason most gyms have Precors and Consumer Reports rates it as #1.

LOL Jean about drying clothes!

So Grace, what time should I be over to play with your new toy?

Congratulations, Grace! I first used LifeFitness Elipticals and got used to those. Our gym has mostly Precor machines, so I started getting used to those machines. It was a little getting adjusted to it, but now I love Precors better!

Let us know how it goes!

cool about your new toy, grace.

i guess i'm the odd ball who still prefers lifefitness, but that fine with me if everyone at the gym flocks to the precors and leaves me open lifefitness ellipticals!! i'd love to have one at home.

I really think our height has something to do with which elliptical that we prefer. Not only am I short...my legs are kind of short too. I didn't get any of my height in my legs.

I don't think you are the oddball out...you may have longer legs than some of us. DH said it will get some getting used to the Precor but he does see how it is easier on the knees and it is a smoother motion. He uses and likes the one at PT but that one really bothered my knees a lot.
