*looking around for Jean* She's back today isn't she? :)
DH and I are boxing this morning and I've got a few appointments today as well. I've been working on a promotion with one of the step teachers where we're going to bring as many trainers into class one day to step so that the group fitness junkies can get to know the trainers and hopefully realize that they should round out their exercise program with personal training, or at least, strength training. I think we have about 6 trainers willing to participate so far... I'm excited about this.
Breakfast: detour bar
Snack: peanut butter banana toast
Lunch: turkey wrap?
Snack/Dinner: Not sure...we have a few odds and ends in the fridge so I'll have to see what we can come up with.

i don't think these nerves will continue throughout the pregnancy - it's still really soon since you found out. if you can, give yourself a few weeks to get used to the idea and figure out what you want to do. there's no need to run out and quit school this very second.
i agree with jean, you will still be able to sub while pregnant and you can probably get just as many classes, if not more, from subbing as with regularly scheduled classes. and also, as jean said, i don't know that it would be legal to not hire you because you are pregnant.
Maybe the Y is filtering something into the air because my instructor just had a baby, one of the subs is pregnant, three of the regulars are pregnant, one of the trainers is pregnant, and now me. Hmmm! It's a conspiracy!
Paula
Jean,
luckily after tomorrow it won't matter! phew. take that YMCA, i foiled your pregnancy conspiracy!
(for those who don't get the reference, i'm getting spayed tomorrow.)
Maybe the Y is just ensuring memberships for the future...
Take care tomorrow!
Jean,
Hey, Paula! I am glad to hear that you are getting used to the idea of being pg again. Did you see my response to your Tuesday post? Just thought I would share my experiences. It did work out and I always feel there is a reason for all of this. Take it one day at a time and don't look too far in the future. Maybe this baby will sleep through the night right away. I had one like that...thank goodness with them being less than a year apart. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Now, ask me about what happened when we realized # 4 was on the way 5 and 1/2 years later. Did you know it was an "immaculate conception"? Anyway...I think you can figure out how that pregnancy was accepted by DH. What a blessing she was...she filled a void I never thought would be filled after the death of my mom...go figure she was born on my mom's birthday! Anyway...the 2 "oops" babies were the most loving special children. They are all special, but there is something about those two. They really did come along for a reason.
Wow...subbing and pg and busy busy with taking educational classes. You are WOMAN...her you roar!!

Hi, all and welcome back Jean! Glad you had a nice time. Today is busy for me with getting ready for my trip to NC for grandson's baptism.
Took the All Fit class today and it was a great workout. That class goes by so quickly. Ran some errands and got all the ingredients in to make ziti, meatballs and sauce and sausage and peppers to bring to NC. I have to pay the business bills and reconcile the check book. It is that time of the month again for the business. I was called to sub a 10:15 at 8 am this morning and I said no since I really had planned to take that class and I needed to do it for me.
Food is ok so far:
2 clementines
egg substitute omelet with spinach and reduced fat cheese with 2 slices of that flourless whole grain sesame bread
some almonds
3 cups of decaf/herbal teas as well as water
Dinner will be leftovers and a big salad.

Taught a new class i designed for the first time today - worked up a good sweat. After that i did a little hill walking on a treadmill; some balance & core work on the the BOSU; and finally some yoga. Spent the afternoon running errands, but since tomorrow is my 4 class day and I've got 2 apiece Fri. & Sat, along w/ a bunch more errands I'm going to have a lazt evening for a change (after I cook dinner & do some laundry that is).
Breakfast: 1/2 multigrain bagel w/ PB; soy chai latte
Lunch: tofu hot dog on ww bun; nectarine
Supper: marinated tofu w/ steamed veggies; basic green salad w/ tomato, cuke, onion & carrot (not sure what I'll make for the meat-eating menfolk)
Snacks: bruschetta on multi-grain 'hearth' bread; tortilla chips & fresh salsa; fresh fruit; herbal tea; might make a batch of oatmeal-flax 'peanutbutter cup' muffins or fruit salad smoothies
