Tonight at the gym for me is going to be the elliptical, the bike and probably some free weights and abs.

My legs are feeling a lot better. On Saturday I went to the gym and walked again on the treadmill and incorporated a little running into my session and than went over to the elliptical. I felt a lot better.

Yesterday I walked/ran for 45 mins and than another 20 on the elliptical. I think it kept my legs loose and helped me recover a little faster.

Breakfast -

Cottage cheese (BLECH! I hate it)

Oatmeal

Yogurt

Hey, since you're running/walking anyway, do you feel like joining us in doing a virtual 5k?

Hopefully, I will be able to post to these pretty consistently. Sometimes, it might be an update of what I did that day, instead of what I plan to do, but I feel like having a place to post might help keep me on track.

Breakfast: eggs, cottage cheese (assuming it's still good)

Lunch: little spinach salad with sliced apples and parrano, carrots w/ hummus

Dinner: Maybe a sandwich- gotta use up the rest of my wraps

Workout today- treadmill (combo of walk/run), and my best friend is coming over tonight. I think I mentioned that I'm playing personal trainer to her wedding-weight-loss goal, so we'll do hand weights, abs, stretching, etc.

Jean, I am surprised that Chinese New Years was a total meatfest, maybe you should come to my house instead! We always have one very lucky dish made with hair fungus, gingko nuts, black mushrooms and lettuce. Then a dish of stir fried shrimp, and usually a soup. Mind you there's only 3 people in my family so we don't have to cook a lot. This year, my dad is working in Hong Kong, and my mom is over there visiting him until March (she left last week) so it will be just me. And Chinese New Year this year falls on Ash Wednesday! So I have conflicting interests.

>Please tell me why all my in-laws are stick thin!
It's that Chinese gene. The one that I didn't get enough of :P

Monday is normally my sleep in day. I am going to get an appointment with the psychiatrist, and I teach piano and step in the afternoon.

Breakfast: spinach omelet
Lunch: fishballs, napa cabbage, udon soup
Dinner: veggie fried rice

also, we should add, that you don't have to commit to RUNNING the whole 5 k. it's fine to do a run/walk, in fact some people claim that their times are faster on a run/walk (not that we are worrying about our times for this!)

Ugh! I gained 5 lbs. this weekend! We had a birthday party on Saturday and Superbowl last night. Needless to say, I used those as excuses to stuff my face! So, today is usually my day off, but I'm working out tonight. I'll do BodyStep tonight - I love the instructor! Today I don't have to do daycare so I'm taking my kiddies to a mall that's about 40 mins away. It has a great play area and a lot more selection of stores than our local mall has. Also, our local mall move their play area. It used to be under skylights and it was very large. Now it's half the size it used to be and in a dark section of the mall. It's kinda depressing going there - play areas should be bright & cheerful, don't you think?

Breakfast: Peaches & cottage cheese

Lunch: Something good - probably a salad - I've GOT to be good!

Snack: Protein bar

Dinner: Pork tenderloin, broccoli, applesauce

Have a great Monday!

Laura

Well, eating at my in-laws is generally a meatfest but my MIL is nice enough to make a veggie dish for me.
