Today will be a wash, cuz I'll be going to boyfriend's house tonight, and I have to babysit this morning until class, so no time for exercise :( Food will be the same way too. Breakfast was a bowl of Trader Joe's "Essentials" w/ soymilk, but I'm afraid I will have to sustain myself on water until tonight, since I can't eat while babysitting, and I have no place to store a lunch on campus- and we have no healthy choices- McDonald's, Chik-fil-a, and Subway (ew). And of course, the overpriced food court. The boy usually does a good job of getting things for dinner (when we don't go out) that are healthy and I would eat- usually fish and fresh veggies to steam. Then he makes himself a PILE of rice or pasta, since he eats like a freaking elephant (not even a horse), and I won't eat the carbs. Assuming we don't go out anywhere, dinner should be pretty healthy.

Finally Friday! In case I forgot to tell you, I have an appointment with a psychiatrist...in May...so I will have to hang on until then. Last Saturday I had a wedding to play at so I had to get someone to sub for me teaching music theory, and she came up to me on Sunday (goes to the same church) and yammered on about a LOT of stuff, how some of the students are really pathetically slow, and that I'm teaching the course at too slow a pace, etc., basically making me feel REALLY incompetent, and you know I'm pretty sensitive about stuff like that. Anyways last night at work someone took me aside to tell me that this woman actually went so far to tell one of the parents that their kid is not ready to take the Saturday course and that I AGREED WITH HER (talk about putting words in my mouth, sheesh) of course I said no such thing, when she told me the same thing last Sunday I just smiled and nodded, I never agreed with her!

Apparently this teacher has a history of shooting her mouth off inappropriately and also being rude to parents and co-workers, the someone last night asked me to document cases so I'm assuming that teacher is on the verge of being fired...

Anyways, today I'm subbing a class called "kick" but I'm doing step and then punching intervals. Then I'm going grocery shopping because there is not a single vegetable in the house, save for V8.

Breakfast: banana, babybel
Lunch: tomato & mozz salad
Dinner: ???

I'll be going to step this morning. I was seriously considering doing a 7 mile hike I saw in the paper tomorrow morning with DH but I have since downgraded it to a walk to the farmer's market that's not too far from my house. I think I get a little overly ambitious sometimes.

I've got a few clients today and I'm also going to be spending some admin hours at the gym fooling with our new computer system and also doing sales/memberships.

My menu today isn't finished so I'm not sure yet what I'll be eating. I had protein pancakes for breakfast and they were tasty!

By the way, we sold our house last night. Got full asking price. It never even hit the market ~ we did it all in house. They're actually coming to put the sign in our front yard today and we'll have to attach the "sold" sign to it. My realtor wants the publicity and I don't blame her. Now the scary part... finding a new place to go. Unfortunately, we aren't considered strong buyers yet since we have several hurdles to pass on this contract but once we cross those, then we can do some serious house shopping.

i agree - TGIF!

that's great about your appt. try not to let that obnoxious woman get you down, she's probably just trying to make herself look better so she doesn't get fired. not that it's working.

I have the day off. (Much needed as usual, as my current schedule results in only one every two weeks. I'm even working on my B-day which is a Sun. I think I'm approaching burnout since I found my mind wandering during a class yesterday to the point that I was obsessing on whether the rice I could smell was long grain white or basmati & what kind of spice was used in the cookies baking. ;D ) Playing catch-up today. Housework, errands, paperwork - for work (I guess it's not really paperwork since it's all on the pc, at least until I print it). For some reason I'm having a strong allergic reaction to something in the house, so I may use this as an excuse to go out and be a slacker. I swear I will not go anywhere near a gym. ;-)

Breakfast: PB on this fabulous multigrain bread I found (it costs a small fortune but makes the lightest, crispest toast I've ever had & I'm a toast-freak); peppermint tea

Lunch: multigrain wrap w/ avocado, romaine, cuke, onion & salsa; tea of some sort

Supper: I'm thinking of either making a chickpea-veggie curry or having veggie gyoza w/ a rice blend pilaf; a bottle of stout.

Snacks: ww pita w/ hummus; fresh fruit; pistachios; probably more toast (mmmmmm... maybe w/ almond butter this time)

Yep, we did. If we can find something in the meantime, we might not need it. The buyer is very flexible about when we move. We close in about a month.

Oh gosh, I haven't been in a mosh pit for 20 years. I don't think I'd survive. How was it? Got any bruises. Hope the band (bands?) was good.

Vegan jerky... I keep looking at some (soy based) at the organic grocer. Is it any good?
