The weather is dismal and rainy. I promised DH I would make him blueberry muffins this morning so as soon as he gets his lazy butt out of bed, we'll do that. We are celebrating valentine's day today. We're going out for a romantic dinner this evening and we may catch a movie as well.
Sometime this weekend I need to go to the party supply store to pick up decorations for our valentine/trainer party on Monday. I'm also going to do a bulletin board called "tips from your trainers" so I need to pick up things for that as well. There is a listing for a condo that I'd like to see so I will probably call the realtor and see if we can go do that.
We were supposed to walk to the farmer's market this morning but the weather is prohibitive. Don't think I will exercise today but might try to get some cardio in tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to week 2 of the running program Jean! How's that for weird? :)
It's been a bit of a rough week. It was "that time" and I think the stress of all the house stuff just sent my appetite through the roof. I adhered to my calorie limits though, especially on my low days. Hopefully the hormones and stress will even out a bit this week.
I'm excited about the food we're getting for the party Monday. We have a great cafe nearby that serves healthy food and provides the nutrition information for everything on the menu. They make "healthy" banana oatmeal chocolate chip cookies so I called the owner to see if we could get some for our party. I am paying for them, but he's giving me a discount which is really nice. The instructor for the step class thought it would be fine if we got cookies or cupcakes, but I really think it sends the wrong message. So many of our members have to fight temptation all the time that the last place they should have to do it is at the gym. These cookies are large and about 250 calories for the whole cookie and I'm having him cut them into 4ths so it'll be a nice post-step snack.
I don't have any real results yet in regards to the calorie cycling. As of last Sunday, I had a 4.5 lb loss in a week but that could all be water weight since depending on the day, I'm either losing or putting back water weight. DH and I agreed (although I'm dying of suspense) that we'll give it a month and then look at the results.
It was supposed to be a warmer weekend, but now a front is coming through later today. It's supposed to be in the 40's today - not bad for February in Chicago ;o)! DH & I are doing our Valentine's Day celebration tonight. We'll be going to Buco de Beppo (sp?) tonight. My sister is coming in from the city to watch our little ones - they are so excited to see their aunt. I just did my BodyStep (lauch today - it was fantastic!) and then cleaned our bedroom and stairway carpet. I just had lunch and now I'm going to do some touch-up painting! I'm telling you, the fun just never stops at my household!
Tomorrow I plan on taking a yoga class before I go to work. It's been a couple of years since I've done yoga. I plan on bringing my suit and hopping in the hot tub to warm up my muscles - I'm sure I'll be sore afterwards!
I'm getting ready to go downstairs and carve. The weather is crud, all rainy and overcast, but we have lights and it keeps me cool so I won't complain. Last week it was in the 80's with about 90% humidity, it was brutal to work in.
Tomorrow we are going to the Pro-bowl with a group of about 120 from work. Gus (our sports guy) has been organizing the event for years. We are going to meet up and caravan in early tomorrow morning. There will be a catered tail-gate party on arrival. Then we have a whole section of seats together. Afterwards we have a second party! I'm quite excited, this is the event of the year. And, I'm even more excited because MIKE VICK will be throwing!!!!! Ok, I'm not a football junkie, but I do love Mike:) If you watch the game look for the GIANT group with all the tents having the party beforehand, they tell me they almost always make the telecast. I'll give you all a wave if they are there:)
I don't know if the loss was actually real or just water weight. In addition to that, I am taking the l-tyrosine and have been doing an hour of cardio a day. Those things may or may not have contributed.
You didn't rain on my parade about the mesotherapy. :) Normally, my reaction would be the same as yours (and to some degree, it is). The only reason I'm doing is because a friend had good results and I thought it couldn't hurt to try it. So far, I haven't seen any results, but I've only had two sessions. I've decided that if I'm not seeing anything by the 6th session, that will be enough and I can cross it off my list.

A Stepford wife drove into my new SUV today when I had it parked in the parking lot of violin school.
