I would like to try cooking some fresh scallops - would you mind sharing your recipe for broiled scallops, please?

Hmmm, I'm wondering if my husband has been lurking here because he gave me an iPod shuffle for Valentine's Day and I was just talking about it.

Here I go again...I don't have a recipe. I just melted a little bit of butter with some olive oil in the bottom of a pan and let it cool a little. I then tossed the scallops in it with a little garlic powder. Sprinkled some flavored breadcrumbs on the top and put it all the toaster oven. You can either broil or bake on high temperature. They cook very quickly.

That is the best I can do with explaining how I cooked them. I am sure there are plenty of real recipes...they are worth trying if you like seafood.

I never use precise amounts either, so your recipe makes perfect sense to me, thanks!
