class director at the gym wants to have a meeting 2/28, a Monday at 9pm! Truthfully, I am in pj's by that time of night. I always go to the meetings even if I am not on the schedule and I am really not happy with a meeting that late. If I was out already, it isn't so bad, but to actually go out in the winter at 8:45...brrrrrrr! I just might go in my pj's if I go! The same people never show and if they are not there this time, I will really be annoyed.

Sorry...had to get that out of my system. It is just that this gym pays the least and has the most meetings. It is worth giving up the one class I teach there just not to have to go.

I agree! 9:00pm is too late for a meeting - no one will concentrate on what she's saying. It'll be a complete waste of time! I wonder how many will show up? I know these things are mandatory, but heck, life happens (and bedtime is important!)

Good luck!

I have already decided not to go. I have gone to meetings at 8 pm on a Friday and 12 noon on Sunday. I was the only one who went to both. The coordinator thinks this time will be more convenient for the all the instructors.

She is probably going to go over again about teaching within guidelines with speed of music and not doing contraindicated exercises. No one has listened before and I don't see things changing this time either. If I don't go and lose my one and only class, it is not a big loss to me. I am teaching as a favor since no one else wanted the class and the coordinator was in a bind.

Thanks for the feedback...I thought I was being rediculous about not wanting to go out at that time. The coordinator is already there doing sales, so it is no skin off her nose.

And, of any instructor, you don't need the extra emphasis on safety instructions anyway! Ours is only twice yearly and it covers mostly business type stuff.

Oh I use to hate that at the gym I worked at. They did them Sunday night at 8 after the gym closed. And you are right in the winter it is 100 times harder to go out late. But yes, I would show up in sweats ready for bed. Sunday night is my relax night. I would always look at the other employees still dressed in their jeans etc. and think WHY? Its bedtime.

You're not being ridiculous at all. That time is ridiculous. I've never had a meeting later than 7:30 p.m. (on a Tues. or Wed.) or its mid-afternoon on a Sun. We all agree to the time/day before its firmly set though and it only happens once, maybe twice, a year.
