Going into work today to train a few clients and do some cardio myself. Other than that, not much planned for the day.

I resigned this morning from my position as supervisor. It's a long story but the short of it is that the owner of the company is, IMO, an unethical businessperson and the way he runs the company makes it nearly impossible for anyone to suceed. I've been considering this for a while and few things happened this week that just hurried my decision along a bit. I'm going to remain at the gym as a trainer and enjoy peon status for a while. :) I'm also going to seriously consider possibly working at a gym near our new place. Change is good, right?

Change IS good, Gymrat, and it looks like you are doing the smart thing by getting out of that situation. I wish you lots of luck!

Today I did my morning cycling class - it was great! Came home and cleaned up my kiddies rooms, vacuumed, etc. DH took both of them to the gym so he can run. Such a sweetie! Now I'm home by myself and soaking up the sweet silence!

Breakfast: Cottage cheese, pineapple, applesauce, Morningstar Breakfast pattie.

Lunch: Turkey, lettuce, sweet pepper, mozzarella on a piece of bread, warmed. Greenbeans and portobello mushrooms on the side. I had two cookies for dessert - couldn't resist.

Snack: Cheese & applesauce

Dinner: My sister is taking our kiddies while DH & I go out to dinner. I'm thinking Baker's Square! I'll have a fruit pie . . . not that that's any better than the cream pies, but it has fruit in it!!

Have a great weekend!

OH, yes, change is good! I have to commend you for following your conscience and resigning from your job. I believe you made the right decision. Hope you find a position at the gym near you and enjoy your new "status".

I am going to the Bronx today with DD and her husband for an annual traditional Puerto Rican meal. It is with son in laws family. I am very excited to be going...I was born in the Bronx and I always feel like I am going home when I go there. It is going to be a United Nations of people too. Son in law is Irish/Puerto Rican, I am Italian decent, and DD is 1/2 German from DH's side. It is going to be a unique mix. I tried to eat well so far today to make up for what I am going to do later.

Hopefully, I will be helping DD and her fiance move into their house tomorrow. I was going to today before leaving but DD is sick with what ever is going around...a cold with cough and fever.

I made a tray of Chicken Marsala to freeze for the baby shower next weekend. So far I have 2 trays of sausage and peppers done and 2 trays of eggplant parmesan. Getting there! Had to go to the liquor store to get wine for the shower and marsala for the chicken. I am so lost in that place. I don't drink alcohol at all and I am like a fish out of water when comes to buying "spirits".

Have a good one!

Grace

Sounds like a smart decision, esp. given how frustrated you've been anyway. It's great being a regular worker bee!
