I'm doing the third week of running also plus some additional cardio (probably elliptical). I usually have to work tonight but my evening client cancelled so it'll be nice to be home for the evening. A friend of mine is moving into a house with her boyfriend and they want a majority of the furniture that we're not going to be able to take so they might come by tonight to decide exactly what they want.
I'm doing okay at work. Yesterday was kind of hard. I guess I just have some bitterness about the whole thing even though it was my decision. The majority of the trainers have come up to me and said they're disappointed I resigned because they thought I did a great job and that was nice to hear. I think it's probably going to take me a while to sort of get unattached again and be able to just go in, do my job, work out, and leave.
Breakfast: peanut butter banana toast
Snack: zone bar
Lunch: tuna salad sandwich on ww, another undetermined item
Btw, for you tea drinkers, I bought Celestial Seasonings Vanilla Hazelnut tea yesterday - very good! With a little bit of honey, it tastes almost decadent.
I feel totally gross and bloated from TOM today and my entire upper body is sore from the snow shovelling. Ugggh. Teaching sculpting in the morning and stsep in the evening. I have a question for all of you: my bf doesn't really care for gyms. Well, he has that usual "everyone will be looking at me!" issue and that's about it. My question is, do you think you can get a decent workout at home without spending a fortune? I don't think he and I would ever want to invest in a large piece of equipment, like a weight station or a treadmill. He grudgingly said he'd go to the gym with me once we move in together, but what I'm trying to say is, can you get a decent strength training workout (one that's challenging enough for a man) in your home without spending a ton of $$$ on equipment?
I'd love to say yes, but I really think that depends. I think it matters on what your personal mindset is on weightlifting... As a trainer, I KNOW that I can give myself a good workout (or anyone else for that matter) at home using bands, balls, etc. However, I personally miss the free weights and weight machines and something seems off when I work out without that stuff.
If he's a beginniner, I think it's easier to get a challening at-home program. As he progresses though, I think he'll probably need things that are more challenging (and more difficult/expensive to do at home).
I know exactly how he feels about people looking at him... Can you go to a more family oriented place like the YMCA or something? If not, remind him the people he thinks are looking at him are probably narcissistic and too busy looking at themselves to care what he's doing. :)
I am trying hard to keep up again... I have been so busy.
I would like to start putting primer on dd's walls but I have a class to teach at 4:30, so I don't want to start and not finish so it looks like that job will be tommorrow.
I'm going to have the class do lat pull downs in ball class by having them hook bands w/ a partner, lie prone hips on the ball, facing each other but far apart,
Well, Wes got called into work today, from 1 til close, so I won't be going back to his place tonight, like we usually do :( However, I can now eat a healthy dinner and maybe do my Pilates DVD.
Breakfast: a cinnamon-raisin bagel w/ some butter- that's what I get for having to eat at Wes's house.
Lunch: probably some yogurt and carrots/hummus
Dinner: Not sure- I have class from 3:30 til 8, so something when I get home.
