I bought the CS Vanilla Hazelnut Tea and it's wonderful! I pour a little hazelnut creamer in it and it gives it more flavor - yum!

Anyway, I did my BodyStep this morning. After doing BodyFlow last night (combo of yoga, pilates & tai chi), my legs are beat! She worked us hard last night to the point where my legs were shaking and burning during each hold. Now they are getting sore. If I had the time, I should have soaked into a hot tub.

Breakfast: cottage cheese, applesauce, peaches.

Lunch: turkey burger, salsa, salad & applesauce & peaches

Snack: protein bar

Dinner: Not sure yet - I have to work tonight so I need to grab something quick.

Don't worry the colour always loses a lot of its vibrancy within a few washes. I bet it looks great & you'll probably love it when it tones down a bit & you get used to the difference.

Well, its been a busy day. Done 2 classes so far (Mindful Movement & a weight training one); started studying for the nutritionist certification; signed on a new client; made a pot of minestrone and have a batch of muffins about ready to come out of the oven. Still have kickboxing left to teach and have to fix something for #1 Son to have for supper (he won't eat the soup because it has beans, >>>>gasp<<<< two kinds, in it).

Breakfast: think I had oatmeal w/ some berries thrown in; ginseng-green tea

Meal 2: split pea soup; nectarine; japanese green tea

Meal 3: fresh salsa, sunflower seeds, avocado, onion, bell pepper & lettuce on a ww-flax wrap

Supper: minestrone; herbal tea

Snacks: organic chili tortilla chips; piece of dark choc. w/ almonds; multigrain-jumbleberry muffins (w/ slivered almonds); carrots w/ roasted red pepper hummus; herbal tea

I like the sides where she left parts of it black so it's interweaved.

I picked the little blue guy icon because that's how I felt after my running program today. How'd you do Jean? I managed to get through it, but I was spent afterwards (and of course, my mp3 player battery going dead in the first 5 minutes didn't help either). It seemed like a fairly big jump in terms of intensity from last week to this week. I'm sticking with it though. :)

I wholeheartedly agree w/ Jen. Most of my clients train at home and some even started at the gym and switched. Two have cardio equipment, but nothing fancy. I train most folks using bands, a ball & body weight. Male clients needing a greater challenge do fine w/ a bench and a set of hex dumbells. I usually recommend experienced clients start w/ 8-15 lb. sets and they can add on when & if they need too. If you go to a warehouse fitness supply place you can get hex dumbells for cheap-cheap. I'm not sure about in the U.S. but up here I can have a client sufficiently equipped for a serious workout for less than $200Cdn.

Hi, all. I have been very busy and not able to come by much this week.

I couldn't do the Jump start either and it was my idea to try it. I will start next week.

It has been crazy here. I actually had a meltdown Sunday with getting ready for the baby shower and DD and her fiance not moving out yet and their stuff all over my house. Long story, but it is amazing how fast people started moving when I totally lost it. I have been very patient up to this point, but enough was enough. It ended up there will be 30 people here for the shower and DS and his family are coming up Friday from Md to stay here. DD will be staying here at night since her fiance is working nights and she will wait for his first night off to sleep there the first time. I am ok with it since she will be sleeping on the aerobed in the basement. The cats have been banished from the rest of the house and can only stay down the finished basement. People with cat allergies are coming Saturday and I trying to get all the cat hair out of the house. Hopefully they will be in their new home before then too.

So, most of the kids' stuff is out and the guest rooms are almost set up. Some of the cooking is done and most of the shopping. Just going out tomorrow for some stuff and doing last minute shopping at Costco on Friday.

It did feel good to come by and visit. Taught my class today and low and behold, the podiatrist is working out at the gym. I am seeing her tomorrow and she precertified the MRI for me already. We are both anxious to see what is going on with my feet.

OK...gotta go and finish up some laundry. Last loads I will be doing for DD and her fiance. Yay!!!

Take care..

Grace

Good for you for putting your foot down in your house!

Jean,
