Fun with Cottage Cheese

Based on some advice I received on another board about my macronutrient spread (specifically, my intake of starchy carbs), I am on a quest to create some sort of dessert item with cottage cheese. I'm accepting the fact that I really like to have some type of dessert after dinner and if I try not to have it, then I just obssess about it and you all know where that leads.... So, I'm looking for a cottage cheese dessert to have in lieu of my cereal or faux banana ice cream.

I experimented last night and came up with something that was sort of okay. I used 1/2 cup of FF cottage cheese, a scoop of vanilla protein powder, a tablespoon of cocoa and a little sugar. It was a little weird, but not bad. It probably would have been more palatable if I'd blended it instead of just mixing it in the bowl.

Anybody have any favorites other than the standard cottage cheese and fruit?

South Beach has a great dessert with Ricotta Cheese, I really like it.

Vanilla Version
1/2 cup part skim ricotta or low fat ricotta
1/4 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
1 pack or 1/2 teaspoon splenda/nutra sweet
Sprinkle sliced almonds on it

Chocolate Version
1/2 cup part skim ricotta or low fat ricotta
1/2 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa mix
dash of espresso powder
1 pack or 1/2 teaspoon splenda/nutra sweet (optional)
spread 5 mini choclate chips on it

Lemon Version
1/2 cup part skim ricotta or low fat ricotta
1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
1 pack or 1/2 teaspoon splenda/nutra sweet

Ricotto cheese or yogurt seems like they'd be a lot easier to make into dessert than cottage cheese. I like tictac's recipes.

I noticed a big difference when I cut back on starchy carbs, btw.

i used to make a similar dessert with cocoa powder and low fat ricotta. of course, now i don't advocate eating ricotta, so i'd recommend

I read about using silken tofu as desserts recently.
