>>tank top or tight tee shirt and long "yoga type" pants

>>i avoid reebok and nike because of their sweatshop reputation. i only buy champion action shape sports bras. other than that, i look to buy made in the usa (target store brands are sometimes made in the usa) or fair labor. if i can't find something made in the usa or fair labor, i'll buy New Balance or Danskin or stuff like that. i'm interested in the line Stella McCartney recently designed for adidas - i'd love to get some of that line of

bra tank top, long pants, shorts, or capris

I really like Lululemon, but I care about the fabric more, my clothes have to be sweat wicking rather than plain cotton.
Do you have a piece of fitness apparel that you love and why?
I have a pair of Lululemon pants that fit my butt very nicely. Also I have a pair of Nike shorts and a matching top that always gets compliments.
What kind of socks do you wear? (Ankle, crew, etc.)
plain white ankle socks from Sears.
What brand of shoes do you prefer and what type? (crosstrainers, running shoes, etc.)
I prefer running shoes, even for aerobics, because they are generally made for more serious athletes rather than fashion. Used to be a die hard Nike girl but my most recent pair are Adidas and I love them too.
Do you buy a specific brand of sports bras and why?
I don't wear sports bras.
What's the most you've ever spent on an article of fitness clothing other than shoes?
$100 + tax for my great butt fitting Lululemon black yoga pants.
What do you usually wear to work out at the gym? (Tank top? T-shirt? Shorts? Pants?)
Tights and tank top, usually more fitted

I hate that I can't find any petite workout clothes!
What do you usually wear to work out at the gym? tank top (crew neck tanks)and work out sweats (more fitted than regular sweats)
Are there any specific brands of workout clothes you like? I really like both Old Navy and Target workout stuff, specifically Messimo pants from Target.
Do you have a piece of fitness apparel that you love and why? My grey tank, its like 6 years old and I love it.
What kind of socks do you wear? Usually ankle (my banana republic ones are my fave), but I go to gym from work and when I forget them I can end up in anything from trouser socks to santa dress socks.
What brand of shoes do you prefer and what type? Nike Shox
Do you buy a specific brand of sports bras and why? Nope, any old sports bra will do as long as I am not bouncing around like a nut in it.
What's the most you've ever spent on an article of fitness clothing other than shoes? I bought a pair of Guess workout pants from the Guess store they were like 70 bucks, I thought they were capri pants and I brought them home and realized they were extra small so when I put them on I realized if I was 5 inches shorter they would have been plain old boot cut work out pants, but since they were extra small they were short on me and looked somewhere between boot cut and capri - which looked SO bad. So I am sticking to my 25 dollar old navy and target workout pants.
What do you usually wear to work out at the gym? (Tank top? T-shirt? Shorts? Pants?)
Old t-shirts and shorts - I just recently started buying "workout clothes" - I usually wear whatever free shirts I have gotten from various things.
Are there any specific brands of workout clothes you like? Hate?
Like Nike - hate Target brand because they shrink and stretch and get all misshapen.
Do you have a piece of fitness apparel that you love and why?
A Nike sweatshirt for running - it's the lightest, softest fabric, but I can wear just that in the winter outside and still be really warm. It's got extra long sleeves w/thumb holes so I don't have to wear gloves, a tight-fitting hood to keep the wind out, and zip-up pockets for keys. It's am amazing piece of clothing!
What kind of socks do you wear? (Ankle, crew, etc.)
ankle from Target
What brand of shoes do you prefer and what type? (crosstrainers, running shoes, etc.)
Nike or Adidas running shoes
Do you buy a specific brand of sports bras and why?
Well, pre-surgery I could wear any old little scrap of fabric but now I might have to start investing some money in supportive bras... I can't believe how expensive good bras are!!
What's the most you've ever spent on an article of fitness clothing other than shoes?
The aforementioned Nike sweatshirt was a gift but I know it cost a small fortune. Is worth every penny, though. Good outdoor running clothes tend to cost quite a bit.
i have three words for you... CHAMPION. ACTION. SHAPE. you want to keep your new girls in shape, you invest in one (or several) of those.
they are sold in size ranges (like 32-34 C/D) - buy the size that will be on the smaller side of the range. like i'm a 34 C normally, so i buy the 32-34 C/D. that's actually the smallest size they sell.
What do you usually wear to work out at the gym? (Tank top? T-shirt? Shorts? Pants?)
I usually wear a workout capri on the bottom, t-shirt on top...mostly all black, i just find it looks better on me then all those bright colours. I wear a sports tank by nike underneath my tshirt to give added support.

I absolutely love my capris because they are made with the fabric that wicks away mositure. They are close fitting but hang nicely too. They launder well. They are made by latitude. I can't find them around here, but when i went state side i found the last two pair at the jcpenney's. It's the last time i've seen them, not sure if they are no longer selling them or what. I thought they were expensive at around 50.00us a pair especially since i'm canadian. I hate the fact that everything around is low-rise or the tshirts say xl but are really sized like a small. I am forever trying to find workout clothes that are cute and fit true to size. Especially since i am around a size 16. I wish a company would come out with a cute line of plus size workout wear like they do for the 'average' women. I love nike, addidas etc..but it's really hard to find anything to fit. So i often see women of my size working out in their husbands xl tshirt, hardly flattering. o.k. i'll stop ranting about that.lol
Do you have a piece of fitness apparel that you love and why?
Like i said above my capris..i also love my nike sports tanks with dry fit.
What kind of socks do you wear? (Ankle, crew, etc.)
I wear ankle socks. Bought them at kohls i think..they are keds brand and have pink toe and heal. They are nice and thick, have the added bands of stitching around the arch of the foot to hold them in place..love them.
What brand of shoes do you prefer and what type? (crosstrainers, running shoes, etc.)
My most recent pair are new balance, cross-trainer. I purchased some nike shox recently as well but returned them after wearing them in one aerobics class. I just about broke my ankle as they had no lateral support. They were classified as runners and soooo cute but not worth the risk of hurting myself.
Do you buy a specific brand of sports bras and why?
I buy lane bryants sports bra with underwire..love them. The best i've ever used.
What's the most you've ever spent on an article of fitness clothing other than shoes?
I think the most i've spent is around 55.00us. Put it this way, i am willing to spend alot of money on something that is going to make me look cute and is most importantly comfortable. They problem is finding it. I would LOVE to wear all that cute workout stuff if it came in my size. I wish a company would make really cute plus size workout tshirts and pants. I love all those sports tanks etc but i feel at this point i have to wear them under my tshirt which kinda defeats the purpose as no one can see them anyway. The day i can wear them on there own will be a day i will rejoice. I am self concious of my arms and finding tshirts with good coverage on the arm is really hard. So i buy larger sizes and then it looks huge in the waist area etc.. I am really frustrated with workout clothes..like i said, i will pay the price if i could only find it. I know i am a big person, but i still want to look good at the gym. I wish the companies would get that a large portion of the population who starts working out in the gym is not a size 5, but actually have weight to loose so we need clothes too. Geesh, here i go again ranting..i'll stop now.lol
How is your weight loss coming, btw?
I could pretty much just regurgitate half of Jean's answers. I'm short, frugal & like Ryka. ;-)
What do you usually wear to work out at the gym? (Tank top? T-shirt? Shorts? Pants?)
>>Depends on what I'm doing there, but most often bootcut black yoga pants w/ camisole style tank (w/ the built in shelf bra).

>> I love the Coolmax products i find at Costco, but other than that i like whatever I find on the clearance rack that's cute & fits. Jean, those Coolmax yoga pants are fabulous. They're the only full length workout pants of any style I don't have to hem up. And they look great, stay dry & comfy and cellulite becomes magically invisible!!!!
Do you have a piece of fitness apparel that you love and why?
>> The above mentioned pants.
What kind of socks do you wear? (Ankle, crew, etc.)
>> Depends on the pants: ankle socks w/ anything full length and ones that come just over the ankle (crew?) w/ shorts.
What brand of shoes do you prefer and what type? (crosstrainers, running shoes, etc.)
>> Ryka crosstrainers. They're a great company that make athletic shoes specifically for women, a portion of the profits go to charities that help women (usually abused women) and they fit my peasant feet wonderfully. I just wish i had access to a greater selection.
Do you buy a specific brand of sports bras and why?
>> I don't really need one but wear them so as not offend others, so Buy whatever's cheap & comfy. I'm currently quite pleased w/ Fruit of the Loom on both counts.
What's the most you've ever spent on an article of fitness clothing other than shoes?
>> I REALLY enjoy a good bargain so I think I may have spent as much as $35Cdn. on a pair of pants once, but I can't really recall.
