Your Fitness Wardrobe?

What do you usually wear to work out at the gym? (Tank top? T-shirt? Shorts? Pants?)

Are there any specific brands of workout clothes you like? Hate?

Do you have a piece of fitness apparel that you love and why?

What kind of socks do you wear? (Ankle, crew, etc.)

What brand of shoes do you prefer and what type? (crosstrainers, running shoes, etc.)

Do you buy a specific brand of sports bras and why?

What's the most you've ever spent on an article of fitness clothing other than shoes?

They'll be back. The grey does hide the cellulite (its the material not the colour that seems to do it), but I have to admit the black is much more flattering (I'm bottom heavy, so quite conscious of this). They're so comfy I'd recommend the grey anyway and just throw on an oversize tee to cover your butt if you still feel self-conscious. That's what I do all the time because I practically live in them & feel indecent outside a workout setting in revealing workout clothes. They look good w/ a thigh length sweater overtop and matching boots or sneakers - sporty, comfy and casual.

The material wicks the sweat away so well that I've never had a problem w/ noticable sweat stains w/ the pants & I have to be drenched for them show on the underarms of a shirt made of the same material (its grey). I do agree that grey, as a rule, is one of the worst colours for showing sweat - just not w/ this particular material.

Oh, I forgot to mention that on top of everything else the material is stain resistant. All the items I have (3 pairs of pants - 1 grey/2 black and 2 shirts - 1 grey/1 white) I wear to death, have had for a couple years and other than a little 'pilling' on the inner thighs they looks pretty much as good as new. Trust me, I am a the slob of all female slobs, this material IS stain resistant & there's no yellowing under the arms of the white shirt either.

Thanks so much. I have been stepping back when i feel like munching and this is how i realized it is emotional eating. It's just dealing with it. I like the idea of the hot chocolate...i was doing that for a long time in the early evening. But then i saw a trainer and he said to stop it because it is loaded with sugar and will cause more cravings and just turn to fat that late at night. He suggested a protien drink but it's not the same. Anyhow, maybe i'll try that hot cocoa again, making it with spleda perhaps. I'm glad to hear i'm not alone in my eating issues. thanks SUzanne

You all have made me feel a bit better over all of this, and i'm am very thankful. I've had a pretty good day today, stayed on track for the most part. I think i'm going to go measure myself and see if i've made any progress that way. I know my weight loss is great but it just seems so small for the amount of work i've been doing. I just feel that sense of urgency to loose the rest..i am looking better and now i am actually starting to picture what i could look like if i lost another 50lbs, ya know? So i'm very impatient at this point. I want to look fit NOW!! Lord knows i've sweat enough to deserve it. Especially when i see other 'fit' women in the gym barely working hard or breaking a sweat...i think i deserve it more.lol Anyhow, your kind words have lifted my spirits, thank you. I'll have to look back at the posting to read about your challenges with plateaus. I visit this site as much as i am able but often just do a quick browse. Thanks again. Suzanne

I know I keep hearing it gets harder as you get older and i'm dreading that! I'm in my thirties and i don't know how much harder i can work and still stand the next day.lol But i do know i can keep up with the 20 somethings in my classes..in fact i think i am much more co-ordinated if i do say so myself. I think many people probably underestimate how strong i am, and fit cardiovascular system when they see me. But i'd love to take them to the gym an just see.lol I just want to do this the healthy way, it's as simple as that really. I've been doing the stepmaster(i think that what it's called) lately and it is so challenging. It's the machine with the two pedals that you have to move up and down. I always thought it was easy until i tried it.lol I get such a great workout on it. I almost like it better than the step mill because you are forced to keep moving your legs or else those pedals will hit the floor unlike the stepmill where you can kinda ride the step down to kinda take longer strides. It is great, i just hope the myths about making the butt bigger are false..lord knows this butt is big enough.lol SUzanne

Amen sister. I think people underestimate me too. It is a little sickening to see people who look like fitness models and they barely break a sweat while they're doing cardio (on the phone, no less!).
