That's true.

Good point about the removal. I hadn't thought about that. I wonder if the price we figured includes that or not?

We're taking very little furniture with us so that's not going to be much of a problem. I'm going to do with this move what we did with the last move and that's just have them unload the boxes in the garage and then we'll just bring them inside and unpack as we need to or feel like it. I like that better because I don't feel like I'm living out of a box. Also, we're going to start painting the day after we move and it'll go smoother if we don't have to worry about tripping over all kinds of boxes.

Sore knees are a constant for a lot of runners, including myself.

I've had drs. tell me it's best not to run on the sidewalk but sometimes the options are limited - if I run on the grass the entire time, I'm apt to twist an ankle, and in the winter that's impossible. :)

Since this is such a common nuisance for runners, there are tons of articles on it on sites like www.runnersworld.com, if you want to do some research.

Good luck!

run on the street rather than on the sidewalk. obviously you have to do this in a place that is safe to be in the street. but running on the sidewalk is just about the worst thing you can do for your knees, feet, hips...

a paved or dirt jogging path would be ideal.

now you know why! i'm glad we brought it up before you guys started running outside much.

cement (what sidewalks are usually made out of) is the worst, it's like running on stone. blacktop or macadam (like what streets are made out of, and also what jogging trails are paved with) is much more springy underfoot than cement.

So much for finally having a day off, had to sub. My body's like a Timex though - takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. I'll make it to Sunday, but tomorrow's brutal: kickboxing; ball/weights; 60min. straight cardio; finally, training another instructor the basics of kickboxing. THEN I'll FINALLY get my first day off since Feb. 11! (Not really complaining since I'm the one responsible for my schedule, but that doesn't mean I can't look forward to the break.) Anyhoo...taught a weight class today, did some studying for my nutrition cert., have bread to make, laundry & dishes to do, was going to make veg. curry but may do something easier and have to take my boy to the mall.

Breakfast: triple berry oatmeal crisp w/ van. Silk; green tea

Lunch: strawberry-banana smoothie w/ some van. soy protein; rice noodles

Supper: not a clue

Snacks: fresh bread w/ a drizzle of e.v.o.o.; frozen fruit pop; carrots or ww pita w/ hummus; herbal tea

I just got bad news from the gym - they called and said that I will not have any classes on the new schedule that's coming out in early March :(

Did they give you a reason?

I suppose lack of seniority?

I was getting ok turnout for Tuesday morning, 11am - 6-7 people every week.
