Before I went out on maternity leave, my boss approved an alternative work week for me that would allow me to work from home half of the week and work in the office the other half. Well, 2 weeks before I went on leave, my boss got fired and his replacement canceled my flex schedule. Argh! If I could have, I would have quit on the spot. BUT I can't. Then DURING MY MATERNITY LEAVE, my new boss called to tell me that they're doing some re-org and my old job now requires nights and weekend hours, AND he might give my position to someone else and give me some other crap position that requires way more work for the same amount of pay. Things are so crazy now! Officially, I go back on March 21, but I have no idea what I'm going back to. It's a frustrating and emotional subject for me.

Right now, I'm too emotional to make a major decision like that. My company, as a whole, has great policies. Part-timers get full benefits, there's flex time, my company provides day-care when the schools are closed due to bad weather, great benefits, free dental and vision, paid time off to volunteer in your child's or ANY child's school, etc. The thing is, things like flex time are granted at a departmental level, and the guy that is running my department isn't into the whole family thing. I've considered moving to a different department at the same company, but it would mean earning commission rather than having a base salary plus bonuses. The way the economy is, I'm not willing to risk it on a commission job right now. My baby is going to be fine. My MIL will watch her during the day and she lives less than 3 miles from where I work. I can drop in as frequently as the smokers go smoke. In addition, my parents are going to be visiting for extended periods of time (a month at a time) so, they'll be able to help out too. Things will work out. (That's what I have to keep telling myself.)

Whew, I ran at the gym yesterday for a full 20 minutes- that's a lot for me, who has never been a runner. My legs are sore today! So no running today- but I will tomorrow. Will probably do Pilates and just stretch tonight.

Breakfast/Brunch was 2 eggs, half a cinnamon-raisin bagel and part of a pear that I split with Wes :) I ate around 11:30, so I'm just getting hungry right about now.

Dinner: Not sure yet.

This morning I did a beginners kick boxing class. That was fun! I'm feeling it already. Tomorrow morning is going to be h*ll for me. LOL. Any suggestions to get the stiffness/soreness out of my legs so I can walk?

b. oatmeal with flaxseed and whey protein powder, coffee.
l. power bar
d. cheeseburger without the bread and salad.
s. grapes, carrot sticks and popcorn

Thanks for asking. I rubbed some Arnica Gel on them before I went to bed and they were fine in the morning. Plus we walked around the Zoo Sunday and that helped.
