Ughghghg... what a mess Jean. Good luck this morning!

I've got a few clients this morning but I'm off this afternoon. I'm doing weights and the running program (which looks to be quite a bit harder than last week... next week almost looks easier than this week).

Breakfast: egg, fake sausage and cheddar cheese scramble

Snack: protein shake

Lunch: southwest chicken salad wrap, broccoli

Snack: ?

Dinner: cheeseburger, mashed cauliflower, my husband's chocolate cottage cheese dessert (which I had last night and is quite good... it's a cup of ff cottage cheese, a cup of skim milk, and a box of sugar free chocolate pudding. Blend in a blender and divide into four servings.)

Breakfast: bowl of "Essentials", w/soymilk

Lunch: yogurt, carrots w/hummus

Snack: apple

Dinner: wrap- turkey, cheese, spinach, cucumber on spinach wrap. Something on the side

Had a bad, BAD weekend food wise.

Friday night I was planning on having 1 or 2 slices of the veggie lasagna, but I ended up having 3 pieces! The good thing is that I won't want any more for at least a year. Then on Saturday night I went to a catered church dinner, where we were served greasy breaded Chicken Kiev, deep fried Parisienne potatoes, and a small mouthful of buttered carrots and broccoli. Ugh! There was a salad with balsamic vinaigrette before, but dessert was chocolate cake. I ate 3 bites and then I asked bf to take it away from me. Also had 3 drinks. All weekend I had the headache from hell, so Sunday I detoxed a bit with lots of fruit and sashimi for lunch. Today I am back on track. Below is a picture of bf and I at the church dinner. Yes, I really am that short, and in the picture I was wearing 4.5" heels!

Breakfast: grapes
Lunch: oven roasted veggies, edamame or grilled chicken, whole wheat pasta
Dinner: mashed cauli & lemon pepper chicken

Exercise: teach step tonight.

cute picture!

it's actually snowing pretty hard now, making jean and boston's cancellations a tiny bit less ridiculous. i hope everything worked out jean, and that your daughter is feeling better.

today i plan to lift weights during lunch, assuming we don't get let out of work early because of the snow!! aw heck, i'll do it even if we do get out early. tonight i teach cardio kickboxing. i thought up some new moves for kickboxing and have made it more like boxing than kickboxing - some of the combos with the kicks have been hurting my knees and also one of my regulars can't do kicks because it hurts her back. so i thought tonight i'd cater to her and me and do more punching and less kicking, but still make it just as intense. we'll see how it goes. maybe i'll tell the class it's in honor of million dollar baby winning best picture.

by the way, did anyone see how amazing hilary swank looked in that movie with all those muscles? i heard her on conan o'brien and she said she put on like 15 pounds of muscle for the role, lifting weights for 2 hours a day PLUS boxing for two hours a day. i think it would be cool to be an actor and have to get in shape for a role. talk about incentive! but here's a question for you? would you put on fat or lose an unhealthy amount of weight for a role? i don't think i would, but i'm not an actor so i guess i don't really have the same drive to play those roles as christian bale did in "the machinist", for example.

oh yeah, food-

two flax waffles (no toppings - that's one thing i love about these waffles, they taste good plain. kinda like a muffin)

organic fair trade french roast

peppermint luna bar, celentano eggplant and garbanzo, orange, vegan soy jerky stick (BBQ flavor)

chips and salsa

thai kitchen soup with lotsa vegges, une pamplemousse

I've never taken a class without music. What is that like? What kind of class was it, step? There's no way I could do step without music... It's too much like work! Speaking of work... staying up with a cranky baby is so much work! She was up from 2AM-7AM. I slept from 7AM-9AM and am about to go down for a nap again. I don't know why the baby was so upset last night. She was fed, dry, and the gas was under control. I guess babies have bad nights from time to time and I should be thankful that I've only had 1 or 2 REALLY bad nights. Usually she wakes up in the middle of the night to play, but last night she wanted to cry and scream.

Breakfast-Fiber One cereal

Lunch - pork chops, salad

PM Snack - Protein shake (raspberries, kiwi, apples, whey protein)

Dinner - Whiting, salad, and another vegetable

I'm all out of HoneyBells! What am I going to do in the middle of the night? Maybe I'll make a bowl of chicken salad.

This is my last day of not working out to see if I lose any weight. I'll weigh myself tomorrow morning and evaluate things.

I feel for you Jean. How about looking at things differently? If you're up to dealing w/ all the other stuff teaching a class is no 'biggie'. Plus, all the other things keep your mind occupied enough that you don't have chance to get nervous. AND what a great stress release to go teach a class and be able to put everything else out of your mind for a little bit. ;-)

Just two classes today (both weight training) interspersed w/ a client, studying and the various other mundane little chores of taking care of my family.

Breakfast: homemade ww-seed-nut bread w/ PB; ginseng-green tea

Lunch: probably rice noodles w/ veggies; soy chai latte

Supper: veg. roti; strawberry-banana soy smoothie

Snacks: multigrain rice crackers w/ veg. antipasto; carrots and hummus; granola bar; V8; herbal tea

We got some snow last night, but I heard we are the only ones getting the least amount of snow from this system. I'd say we got an inch or two. It looks pretty outside right now, I have to say.

Arrrgggh! I am very frustrated right now! Why don't men listen? When we talk, what do they hear? We are trying to sell our house on our own. I've told DH many times that our village doesn't allow us to post signs on public property. They said we can try to put up signs on weekends, but it's risky. On weekdays, if someone from the village sees the sign, they will take it. Well, last week we were lucky and no one took our sign down. This morning, I noticed the sign gone and then received a phone call from our village saying they took the sign down. DH was surprised - he thought we could do this! If I could crawl through the phone line to strangle him, I would have! This whole process is long and frustrating - I want to call our realtor right now and have her list our property. But DH feels RE agents are overpaid for what they do. Well, I know what they are paid for and that's for their marketing skills! Sure our house sells itself, but we need to get people in the house for them to see it and RE agents will get people in the house! The means we've been taking, i.e, advertising in a paper & posting the sign, is not working. When someone is looking for a house, they call a real estate agent. FSBO is not working where we live (we've sold two properties by owner, but they were in larger cities - we now live in a small town). We do have one person come over tonight to see the house - first one since we put the house on the market 10 days ago. If he makes us an offer, DH will be a very lucky man. If he doesn't, I'm going to bring up listing with a realtor.

OK, I'm through venting. I'll be spending most of my day getting the house ready for tonight's showing. He'll be coming around 7:00pm, so that means no BodyFlow for me. Plus I'm working home day care today so I can't work out during the day. It's just not going to be a good day for me - I think that's what my horoscope said so.

Breakfast: Egg beaters omelet with cheese & salsa, peaches & applesauce.

Lunch: Turkeyburger, salsa, salad.

Snack: cheese & an orange

Dinner: left over shepherd's pie

Hope everyone has a great day!

My dr said it would be good to start getting some really light exercise, so I walked 1 hr. and 15 min. on Sat. and 55 min. on Sunday (really slowly, though). Regardless, it feels great to be up and moving. And I was so excited to pack my gym bag for the first time in a couple weeks for this evening. I'll just be plodding along on the treadmill again, but it's something. I can start riding an exercise bike this Thursday, and maybe doing eliptical a week after that.

I made some tasty stuff from Cooking Light magazine yesterday - chicken breasts w/sundried tomato sauce, and spaghetti squash w/edamame pesto. Yum!

Class went well this AM! What a relief--no awkward silence, I didn't lose where we were, everyone followed and we worked hard enough to steam up the mirrors.
