I thought someone posted how to make a heating pad once. Does anyone remember? I remember thinking that it was better than a warm rag, less messy.

Put dried beans (or rice) in a tube sock, tie the end

I knew it was something like that. Thanks! No, I didn't hurt myself. DD got 4 shots today, and she's a little sore.

I think that i read somewhere that if you have a crockpot, plug it in and put in it, a few small towels that are just slightly damp. Let it stay in there covered for a little bit and voila, warm compress. Then when the one you're using cools down put it back in the crockpot, and take out the other one for an instant warm towel. Great idea! Thanks. DD is fine now, but I'll remember that in the future. She will be getting a lot of shots during her first year of life.
